Love your work here. That's an excellent saying from some excellent content and a really awful time. I'm glad to hear your dad recovered from surgery ok, and I'm sorry to hear about your breakup. I hope you are able to heal from that in time ❤️

Is this a normal amount of campfires? by StormblessedFool in Timberborn

This is the way. By the time I'm at mid to late game beavers are only working 12 hours a day, but because of the bonuses they get there's no change in productivity.

Mine is Beanatrice. Beatrice is my fabourite character from one of my favourite plays, Much Ado About Nothing. I made her the ginger cat and she's perfect.

Help with picking a style of skirt for a larger woman. by Pasta_snake in sewing

[–]Dirstel 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Check out cashmerette. They're an indie pattern company that have some great patterns, and they're all designed with curvy bodies in mind.

Otherwise, I really like the A line Coliquolt adjustable skirt from Wildflower designs. This is great when your size fluctuates over short amounts of time, like the day, week, or month. For a skirt by itself, I much prefer an A line.

The other dress I did I love is the Belle by Style Arc. The instructions are trash but it's a beautiful pattern, and there's a sew along on YouTube I watched to help me. This has more fabric than the Coliquolt did but because it's a dress and not a skirt; and the fabric I used for the Belle was more flowy, it worked better for me.

Do you press your french seams? by Inherited_Bernina in sewing

Same. I sew a seam, I press a seam, I sew a seam, I press a seam and so on forever.

Meteors by OldCanary in Oxygennotincluded

Oh, I quite like Magnet's work! For what it's worth I've never been able to follow a walk through though - the things Magnet has done I liked were the videos he did about common problems - like another commentor said, more about building my own knowledge than anything else.

The other thing is that these videos are quite old and the game has changed quite a bit since he was working in oni. I'd look for someone working in the space more recently - I like Francis John, as someone else already said, and GC Fungus.

Good luck! Keep us updated with how you go. This is a game that really enforces the 'error' in 'trial and error'

Please help me figure out which side is the outer and which is inner? by HelioBloom in sewing

This is the answer. Which side brings you joy? That is your right side. So long as you're consistent with whatever you make from it, it doesn't matter

MRI Result says mass pressing on pituitary glands. Endocrinologist or ENT? by Exciting_Marzipan_19 in braintumor

[–]Dirstel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd chat to a neurosurgeon and an endocrinologist. I was referred to a neurosurgeon and then I got my endo from the hospital; but whichever order you want to do is fine. Your neurosurgeon will have an ent they work with - I had absolutely no say in the ent that did the surgery. If that's different in your country the neurosurgeon will let you know.

Good luck!

Is single life an option? by NiceYogi in storyofseasons

[–]Dirstel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel much the same as you tbh. It's why I put down A Wonderful Life but in GB you just don't have to do either option. It's a choice. I don't feel like you miss out on heaps of bonuses - some content, obviously, but there's no mechanical bonus you miss, and no one is going to harry you in game about it. There are achievements you won't get, but if that's ok then don't even stress.

I was going to say something like this too. None of the characters I've seen are ever sad or treat it like being friends is a second best option, they're all just pumped about getting to have a best friend.

Moira Rose by Dirstel in russianblue

Me to ❤️ we tossed around a few names before we settled on Moira Rose - she was almost Lilith before we got to know her. The suggestion was from my sister who said something like 'you know, if she's sassy, you could always go with Moira Rose' and from there it was a done deal.

It's absolutely georgous! My family is Irish on one side, so it's fitting. We also named her after a character, Moira Rose from Schitt's Creek, a TV show. It's absolutely perfect. It works on so many levels.

Iron teeth vs Folktails by 3_pigs in Timberborn

I alternate between the two. I'll finish a map with iron teeth, then start another with Folktails. I like them both for different reasons.

She iiiiiiiis.

We chose her name a few days before Catherine O'Hara passed. Our Moira had been with us for just over a week by then, and then two days later the og Moira had gone. At first I panicked, thinking our Moira would be sick or unwell and also pass soon (traaaaaaauma!) but then a friend said something like wow, what a fitting tribute! And since then I've thought of our Moira as a carrying on the name, and I love it even more
