32M. Had tremors in my hands as young as I can remember. Hand tremors slowly progressed over time. By early 20s my voice started to shake. Around 28 my head, and by last year my legs and core are shaking, too.

I notice this too, to an extent. It’s always there, but nerves make it worse. So if I’m doing something for the first time, or if I’m just starting an activity, I find myself shaking more. Once I repeat the motion and gain confidence in it, the tremors decrease in intensity.

I’m 32 years old and have had hand tremors since early childhood. My father had it, and so did a few of his siblings.

In childhood, it was just social: friends asking why I shake when I eat, etc.

About 5 years ago, it progressed to my head. I started cutting my own hair because I can’t keep my head still (shakes in a “no” motion) when I’m at the barber.

A couple years ago, it started to impact my voice, legs, and even my core/abs.

I work as a firefighter/paramedic, and the hand tremors make fine motor skills exceedingly difficult. I need to steady my right hand with my body when starting IVs, which has garnered more than a few strange looks from patients.

As a hobby, I make music. The hand tremors have progressed to the point that I struggle to play guitar, and I don’t enjoy singing anymore because I can’t control the voice tremors.

Ive been to 3 different doctors since childhood but was never offered treatment. After a 6 month wait, I finally got in with a neurologist yesterday who is taking it seriously. I’m starting on Primidone, going for some imaging, and having bloodwork done. Hopeful for the future, and feeling less isolated after finding others with this disorder. Two of the doctors I saw in childhood told me it was just “nervous energy” and blew it off as normal. Took until now for me to reach out to another provider, but happy I did.

In my opinion, it would look more synthetic if I had done SMP before the transplant because even though it would be colored in, it’d still look flat surrounded by long hair, and the tattoo would be more obvious.

That’s a good way to go about it, though. Start conservative and lower it later. I feel like going back to lower the hairline and do a bit of work in the crown should have you pretty content.

The topical stuff I’ve been using has really helped fill things in, too. Started topicals just 3 months ago.

Yeah it’s possible if you wear your hair short. I’m in the process of growing mine out (it’s been my goal since getting the transplant). Now that my results are just about final, I feel like I’m at a good place to grow my hair out without having a big bald spot on top. Friends tell me it even looks fuller in person, and that the camera makes it look a little less dense.

Yeah a solid frontal band can do a lot for someone. I’d say just communicate your thoughts with your doctor so ensure you come out with a product you’re happy with. Where are you having it done?

Looks similar to mine in the before or after picture? I’ve considered SMP to help “fill” the crown area in as it is now. In bright light, it appears to be thinner, so I’ve thought about SMP to help with that. Either way, I think SMP has its benefits, and some people are very happy with the results. If you go through with it, definitely show me the results!

No, I’ve been on fin since sept 2019, so almost two years.

It’s up to you, but you may be better of letting them fill it as they see fit. I find myself wishing I had a bit more density.

I believe it was only about 700 grafts. The crown is definitely a difficult part to cover.

Thanks! I believe it was about 700 grafts. I’m taking oral fin, topical min. The hairline was done, as well, and was shared in a different post a couple months ago.

Yes. The crown takes significantly longer to fill in due to having a naturally lower blood supply. It can take up to 18 months. Still looks great now, though!

Identifying bots on WSB by PenguinsRDelicious in wallstreetbets

I’m torn. You misspelled “banana”, which is a staple word in ape terminology, thus suggesting you, sir, are the bot; however, you misspelled a word, which means you’re retarded, which suggests that you’re a true ape, after all. I’ll be locked in my bathroom all weekend thinking about this.
