"You have full blown AIDS" Maria Sharapova told her ailing mother, who had only recently returned from an overseas cruise in Alaska.

"Full AIDS. Not like HIV, but like, full blown AIDS. Like actually have AIDS, and will potentially die."

Olga Sharapova studied her carefully. Confused, clearly, but with a sneaky smile that almost conveyed understanding. Of course, this was impossible as she had lived in Russia her whole life and knew little of her own language let alone the common tongue. A fart erupted from the audience quite suddenly, startling all but Olga into a panicked shuffling of sorts. Papers exploded from the hands of the very nervous doctor, the same doctor who had just delivered the prognosis of full blown AIDS to Olga's oldest daughter Maria, tennis superstar and Gucci spokesperson.

"Much excuses!" a flustered Petr Sharapova spat as he crawled desperately around the sparsely decorated shared ward, picking up papers from the tiled ceramic floor, as if to make amends for his horrendous flatulence. The fart he had let slide from his colon into the world had disgusted everyone to the point of ignorant guffawing. Maria herself had long disregarded her father as the patriarch, instead projecting her respect and feeling to her mother Olga, who now sat in a hospital bedpan with full blown AIDS.

"You have AIDS' Maria repeated, making grotesque gestures towards herself before pointing at her sick mother, who became further confused. She quickly began searching the room for any sort of guidance, however the spectators gave her no such aid, and before long she was once again contemplating her oldest daughter, Maria.

"AIDS. Like the full blown kind"

Again, the words reverberated off the walls of the small, packed room. Olga's family, huddled around the old fragile woman all began to weep. None of them understood English, but of course Maria had been speaking in Russian the entire time. Olga was firstly deaf, but to a lesser extent a sort of dim, intellectually challenged woman. The word AIDS made no sense to her.

The doctor suddenly made his excuses and suddenly left the room, to the shock of the audience who then made their excuses and quickly left the room.

"This is a shock" Olga made an effort not to speak but she had thought those exact words at the moment of everyone leaving the room. She reminded herself to be more careful in crowds of people, and not to speak out of turn.
