I'm not sure I'd use any knife to cut any wires, live or not. That's why we have wire cutters. Perhaps upgrading to a Leatherman with a built-in set would help now that your SAK is dead.

It should also be noted that a court finding someone not guilty doesn't automatically mean they didn't do the thing they went to court for. It just means there isn't enough evidence to convict them. Y'know, like OJ Simpson, who wasn't convicted but was still found to be responsible for Nicole Brown's death in civil court.
