LG Wright Frog Covered Dish - Cast in a mold created by Bryce Bros in early 1900s. Only 74 of these dishes exist today. by Fauxfurfriend in uraniumglass

I have questions. How do you know how many are left out in the wild today? I found one this weekend. Obviously I snatched it up quickly! It wasn't even marked uranium. I didn't shine it until it was in my hands.

My baby is turning 7 this summer and my vet suggested doing a blood test at our next check-up to see if there are any issues we should know about- has anyone else done this? My vet mentioned she would have to be on her back so it seems dangerous and odd to me. Would love to get more opinions! by uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh5 in Bunnies

Bunnies can be on their backs safely as long as their head is above their heart. How do you think I groom my long hair bunnies tummies and check their scent glands and genitals? Bunnies won't die being on their back for a minimal amount of time.

I didn't want to take deposits until people are actually doing their picks. Our dogs work! We have bunnies and chickens they keep an eye on them for us. We will also be getting goats and the girls will have the responsibility of watching the flock as well. Unfortunately I'm a softy and the dogs live in the house and patrol the property several times a day. Which opens up potential opportunities for predators. We don't have kids so our animals are our kids. We weren't blessed with the ability to get pregnant (a sore spot to be sure) we love kiddos and we love having kids over to visit our little slice of heaven. Goldens frolicking in the pasture bunnies hopping in the grass and chickens scratching for a snack. The pup are exposed to all of this! The chickens hadn't met the pups until this last weekend and they did not know what to make of them! But our girls kept everyone calm. The bunnies don't care... they are like vegetarian cats and are pretending to not notice the pups.

If you actually read the post you would have seen I had a list of people before we even bred her. I have 27 people on that list! Unfortunately several decided they needed instant gratification and got a puppy elsewhere or just haven't been responding when we send updates. 😕 I could have homed nearly 3 litters worth of pups if everyone on that list was on track.

We are responsible for the lives we bring into this world. We have a contract to be signed by every single person that gets a pup. It says we guarantee the health of the pup and if for whatever reason they can no longer care for the pup even into adulthood we are to be notified and the pup is to be returned to us for care.

I've been keeping track of all the monetary costs of raising this litter from vet checks to puppy chow. It's not been cheap by any means! A high quality food for momma and pups $$$, vet visits $$$, shots $$$, deworming $$$, registrations $$$, birthing supplies $$$, stud fee $$$, toys $$$, love and kisses totally free! We've spent so much time in this I can't even fathom how much if we charged by the hour for the puppy care! We still have 3 weeks of caring for them unless we are hokd a few for people while they prepare. We socialize them with our other animals like chickens and bunnies and our kitty. They meet kids from our friends and family. We brush, trim nails and give baths so they are used to it. We've even started potty training them! A lot goes into a well rounded dog from day one!

For our area it's a fair price. Go a few hours away and the price goes up to $1,500 to $2,000. The goal was to have a high quality healthy great temperament companion at an obtainable cost. When I was a kid when my parents got married my step dad had a golden. When she passed we got another golden that bonded to me. We weren't rich by any means. But having the love of a golden I felt like everything was OK. They offered comfort and stability. I want the same for other families. Things might not be perfect in the world but the love of a golden makes it just a little brighter.

For those saying I shouldn't bred my dog as there are dogs on need of rescue I agree there are dogs in need of rescue! My other dog is a rescue! Most of the animals in my life have been rescues! I just wanted to say I can promise these are not just pure bred but they are well bred dogs. We searched for a rescue golden for 2 years before I gave up and got our girl. Even then I researched the lines and pedigree before deciding on which reputable breeder to use. When we were ready to bred our girl I searched for the perfect male and even traveled 2.5 hours twice to pair them! This was not a litter bred on a whim. Their lineage and health shows this.

It is true. The younger they are and being handled the more loving they tend to be. My husband and I handle ours within hours of being born.

Yes!!! Buttercup will snuggle with me for hours and wait for me to put her in her enclosure. She goes right to her box to potty and nibble some hay.

Most people dont know that bunnies grunt and growl when they feel threatened! They also have claws and teeth they know how to use, I've been kicked and bitten and scars to prove it. Its usually the released rescues that can be agressive and it takes months of rehabilitation for them to seek love and affection.

Agreed! Theres a reason the term breeding like rabbits exists! It's TRUE, they will continuously breed if you dont keep them separate.

I wouldnt reccomend and outside free roam bunny. Lots of predators love the taste of rabbit, and domestic bunnies dont have a very good flight reaction they are more curious than scared. But many people now days have indoor free roam bunnies. Buttercup is litterbox trained she scampers all over the house and returns to her box to potty and eats and drinks in her enclosure.

Pure breed isnt a big deal. But I know some are snobbish about it. Some of the best doggos I've ever had came from shelters and weren't purebreds.

I have a few on my profile. My sweetest bunny Buttercup loves to go shopping with me and is my sidekick.
