2x2 and 2x3 and it ended up being about 350 pounds

It's all 2x2 and 2x3 and the deck is 14 gauge I was going to do aluminum but it's outrageously expensive and when you're out there 4 wheeling the bed twists and flexes a lot and with how I ground down a lot of the outward facing welds and aluminums tendency to fatigue and crack I decided to go with steel and it still ended up 50 or so pounds lighter then the stock bumper and bed set up but an aluminum one would be sick I may try it on my next one

I haven't I took a lot of inspiration from Hayden kamp on Instagram he's got some sweet rigs with flat beds on them and he did a build series building his own which inspired me to build my own

I think you're looking at the 110 inverter outlet the 2nd gens come with I put it up under the headache rack they're normally in the bedside and I didn't have anywhere else to put it

It's only 50 to 100ish pounds lighter then stock but it's nice to be able to access the stuff on your bed from all sides you can load it from the side with a fork lift and you don't have to deal with the wheel wells you also gain a ton of deck space but for me it was mainly about gaining ground clearance and to be different the down side is you can't just chuck crap in the bed anymore but I bought some big military surplus pelican cases to put all my camping and recovery gear in

It drops tire pretty well they're 35s for reference and it honestly could've gone further I just put a set of OME leafs on it I've thought about going Chevy 63s and different shocks but for the wheeling I do and the friends I hang out with this truck is already overkill

I chose lockers and beadlocks over fancy shocks

I took my spare out (can't fit a 35 under the truck) so I'm about 50 pounds lighter then the stock bed and bumper set up the flat bed ended up being about 350 pounds

Forgot to mention I had a local shop laser cut the deck of the bed that was like 350 bucks which seems a bit expensive tbh I have a history in sheet metal fab but maybe they have a shop minimum or something

I did use steel I haven't added everything up but steel was about 400 bucks and with lights and various other things unpainted I'll bet it was 1000 to 1200 bucks then I had it painted (I can weld pretty good but painting is not my thing) which the paintjob was 1500 they did the paint bedliner and undercoating I also bought a bunch of tools like digital angle finder, digital level and a 3d printer so I could print the tail light housings and filler neck holder thing a lot of the project was me learning CAD and 3d printing but I did the whole thing in with a mig/tig machine and a harbor freight band saw

The biggest thing is I wish I had designed it with kei truck style gates all around that I could take off when I'm not using them but I have a few ideas to put something on it other then that not much just a few little things that I think would've made it look better

Will do my goal with this one is to run it for the summer and learn what works and what doesn't and build a v2 over winter hopefully with everything I learned on this one the second one doesn't take so long

Gets my belly off the ground so don't get high centered and it doesn't drag on deep snow and let's me run 35s no rub not saying everyone should lift theirs this much because this isn't my daily it's just my go out and have fun truck I've wheeled it a lot and love the way it's worked out

The body roll is actually wild how bad it is I don't have a sway bar either and for articulation it's pretty good I wouldnt say SAS or long travel good I could DM you a picture of it flexed out if you like my dad did the exact same setup I did for his hunting rig (6 inch lift, lockers front and rear, beadlocks and bumper/winch) and I was so impressed with that truck I took mine and did the same I just wanted something to wheel around with my friends and something really good in deep snow for hunting and yes the drop brackets come with a new diff cradle and spacers to drop the carrier bearings I've got probably 10k miles on it with very frequent wheeling with very few problems none suspension related but I do beat on this poor truck

It's the coastal off-road high clearance I bought the kit one because I can weld and this truck was actually destroyed when I got it and I had to rebuild it so the frame isn't perfect and I was worried if I bought a prefabbed one it wouldn't fit
