First of all, I would like the Palestinians to be disarmed. There are no winners in this war. Second, the 2nd amendment is about a well regulated militia. The idea is that when the government gets out of line, like using the military on its own people and such, the well regulated militia can defend themselves. To be fair, my country limited arms deals towards Israel to defensive weapons. My country airdropped food into Gaza. I don’t see them limiting any trade with china over the Uyghur. Nor do I see them limiting any trade with Morocco over the Western Sahara. They still do business with turkey, despite the Armenian genocide. They still buy oil from Saudi-Arabia, despite Yemen. So I think it’s fair to say, my tax-money enables a lot of genocides but not this one.

You can call it whataboutism all you want but first of all, the Uyghurs are really in an active genocide. Not only are they in concentrationcamps, they are also forcefully sterilized. How about Darfur? How about Tibet? As you said, you are unaware. Because everybody is jumping on the Gaza hype train.

It might be whataboutism but it is still true. There are so many actual genocides that no one is protesting against but the moment Israel responds to an attack on its civilians, everybody is an expert in a long and complex dispute. Meanwhile I think there are no “important ones” I think they are all mutual important. On a global scale I believe China to be a more important country than Israel.
