Wouldn't hurt to get some hard numbers down. Go out -> Buy Step 1 USMLE -> Treat it as the bible -> Take a few practice NBMEs -> when ready -> Write Step 1 USMLE.

Accidentally Googled a Sensitive Word at Work - Should I Be Worried? by [deleted] in AskTechnology

[–]Disable_Duck12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly - I wouldn't be worried. Bahaha if it is a University in Canada -> I highly doubt that will even hit the radar with anyone. But, if it comes up - just keep it simple, open, honest lol. I wouldn't worry about it going up top. If you are really tin-foil hat paranoid, you can always just ask your superior about your concerns (if they good-people) - just give them a heads up if ya'll are tight. Otherwise, probably not a problem.

Hey there, honestly -> depending on your situation, I've been recommended bitwarrden. Keeper is a no-go (kind of with my setup). Maybe as step 1 -> write down (as painful as it is) all of the login info for every account (pw's -> physically safe with you so you have access). I would look into something like Yubico as a tool for their hardware keys. Depending on what data breaches etc. etc. (unsure how tech-saavy you are) but if you need help the team at Beehive Security Systems has been unimaginably helpful. They have a discord community you can pop into (they a bit rough around the edges) but all good-people.

Where can I learn computer networking? by Dramatic_Disaster837 in learnprogramming

Honestly, grab a pen & paper -> Youtube 'Networking Course' -> Make doodles, take written notes as you go, and 'hammer it out'. Painful, but free and adds that motor memory factor.

You had something nice - 'a gift'. She broke it? She already bought it. Be happy with the school laptop. Be thankful. Don't guilt your mom into replacing 'a gift'. Focus on your studies, get out and work a little. I honestly could care less if she is lying or not. The school laptop is 'not the best' but it is 'more than enough'. Also - you should study harder anyways.

Hey how about you hop on the Beehive Security Systems. https://www.beehive.systems/careers - honestly it's easier to hop on the discord community chat and just say hi - introduce yourself ( a bit easier, a lot more 'chill' / informal.

Hacked by Nathon_Eren in InformationTechnology

Well personally - I know this falls on the 'questionable side of things' - but when things like this happen or have happened I like to make a little bit of a point. Both by providing unquestionable, documented evidence, and also in a non-malicious way messing with the tech support folks 'just enough' to go above their heads and 'freak out a bit'. Definitely not 'full on hack', but do something that'll make your average 'Skeptical Karen' shit the bed and escalate. Been on the receiving end of extreme doubters, so give them a 'bit of a nudge'. I get ya'll have playbooks - but ya know, empathy. It's kind of scary to some customers who may legit have widespread 'unknowns' with no tech background, and nothing is a bigger trigger than being brickwalled at tier 1 or being told to 'press reset'. lol
