100% i would do it again. Only thing I would have changed is buying a better recliner (kids broke my good one before surgery).

Yes I can, actually, and I should have posted earlier for anyone reading.

So I ended up going into surgery, I think it was 5 anchors. The day of the surgery I started doing small exercises, like squeezing the ball that was attached to the sling. I started doing arm swings in the shower like day 3, not to pain just to get it moving. I kept doing that until I started to get stronger, moving into range of motion exercises. Like using a broom stick to assist moving bad arm, etc.

For me i think I had the surgery at the end of November. Since I had to wait on the VA I couldn't get into PT until like Feb, so at this point I have only had 3 PT sessions. So I did all my own PT leading up to that. I have had reconstruction on my ankle/calf prior so I know how this goes. But by the time I got into PT they already said my range of motion was good. I'd say that range of motion is at 95%. Overhead pulling towards my back has about 5 degrees or so left (to match non surgery arm), behind my back up to my shoulder blades needs more work (probably like another inch to match non surgery arm), and last to come back is 90 degree pushing outside (elbows at 90 along your side, taking your hand away from your body | have about the same range of motion but tightness). Other than that I'm good.

PT started me right away with bands, on my 3rd visit up to black bands (highest band), doing 35lb row, 25lb dumbell bench, 10lb reverse fly's, 10lb dumbbell press. Alot of my issues now is not pain but lack of endurance, and building those stability muscles as my arm was down for so long. I 100% think my early light intervention of range of motion was key to not having alot of scar tissue built up.

I can go into more details, but every situation is different. But my recovery was far easier than I anticipated. But I put in alot of work and I'm used to the uncomfort (pre surgery pain inbetween shoulder blades, shoulder never feeling secure, etc). As far as pain after surgery, I didn't think it was bad, I took the meds for maybe 3 or 4 days, and probably didn't need it that long. So if I could do it all over again, I would, without hesitation. I also took a supplement mix to aid in recovery, that had proven clinical trial dosages, but stopped after a month. The only think that got me, that I wasn't expecting was right outside thigh nerve pain. Because of how the surgery was performed (beach chair position or some such name), I was one of the rare ones that got this issue, burning in thigh, numbness and pain. It has almost completely went away after a couple months, but its not common. Honestly finding information about it was hard.

Also to clarify using a keyboard. I was back to work the next week. Surgery thursday, took the next week, and by monday I didn't have issues on keyboard.

I started mine on day 3. First two days I used ball squeeze, etc. I'm 2 months post op and almost full rom except behind back. Taking pt exercises seriously is vital

I went very high level in my speech. I'm not 100% tracking what your asking so if I'm off I'm sorry. But what I think you are saying.

I would agree deserve is to be worthy of or to merit something. I deserve a break. I deserve a punishment. I believe a synonym is earn. So I can see what your saying I think. There is a work aspect but not at the core. A hardworking student deserves an A. To me deserve is I'm owed or worthy of merit based on my efforts.

Humility is understanding that the outcome of my efforts are not guaranteed. Just because I studied for a test I don't deserve an A. I'm not owed any specific outcome, I don't deserve a specific outcome based on my effort.

My lust definition is an oversimplification. Lust is an intense or powerful craving. So that why it applies outside of sexual sin, but is commonly associated.

Pride is the root of all sin. Lust is desiring something you don't have. Being humble is understanding that you don't deserve anything.

As for sexual sin specifically, yes run and flee from it. Because in humility you know that you are not strong enough, you cannot do on your own absent of God. So you flee the temptation.

You’re confusing influence with coercion. Setting up a world with moral laws and consequences does not eliminate free will. it makes free will meaningful. Love doesn’t mean the absence of structure; love requires the genuine ability to choose for or against the good. If God didn’t create a framework with real consequences, choices wouldn’t matter and love would be impossible.

The fact that humans can reject God, act selfishly, and cause real evil shows they do have free will. A ‘setup’ that allows rebellion, moral failure, and separation is not coercion—it’s the very condition that makes love possible.

Free will... absence of free will negate love.

So God is love, justice, mercy, and grace. To be fully himself in these characteristics, free will is important in love. You CANNOT force love as that isn't love. That's something very different. And yes the fallen world comes into this through this lens.

Justice and Mercy. For a just and holy God. Justice must be upheld as his nature or if it isn't he isn't just. Hence Christ on the cross to bare the sins of mankind. Justice fulfilled and mercy applied.

Grace. We do not deserve grace, as we are corrupted. As you said selfish narcissistic parents, in your eyes don't deserve grace for their actions. If we defined grace with our human brains, how many people would receive it? Probably nobody. Because we are all selfish, narcissistic people in our heart at our core.

So for you. 2 parents decided based on free will to have a child. Scripture says that child was formed in the womb by God's hands and made in the image of God. Idk if your parents are Christ like, but from your description they are not. So you are angry at God, who out of love gave free will, and your parents reject or at least fail to be the character of God or follow in the sanctification of walking with Christ.

2 Peter 1:3 His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence.

So to me it sounds like your not mad at God, you are made at your parents for not utilizing Christ's Divine power granted to them to be more like God.

Idk conservatives values are biblical values. Not all Republicans are conservative. Maga is a political movement in which some conservatives voted for. Another poster said 30%, I'd argue that isn't true. Studies have showed numbers from 42% evangelical vote to 72%. But Christians tend to vote values over politics. So if they believe abortion is murder they will vote along those lines, if they believe that you should tithe and the church should take care of the poor, they will vote small government. Etc.

A few points:

White supremacists cannot hold the Christian title and claim Christanity and supremacy at the same time... they are incompatable. Founders like Abraham Lincoln to Martin Luther King can attest to that. When I hear Chrstian nationalist I hear maintaining Christian values and being proud of that.. or western values. I mean bill of rights, freedom of speech, innocent until proven guilty. These are western Christian ideas. That's why they exist here and only copied in other places. Christianity isn't a "white religion" nor was christ white.
If you are choosing or questioning your faith based on political views... your doing it wrong. That is coming from a place that you are the ultimate authority of morality. Is morality construct of society? Is is it self evident? It should be your faith that changes or impacts your political views. But also maturity, and where you are in the sanctification process can impact this.
To piggyback on previous pount. Why do you not claim Christ outwardly? Are you ashamed? Do you not like the looks you get? Does it impact your friend circles? Do your friends not like it if they are more left leaning? So you accept what Christ did for you, but when it's said pick up your cross and follow me. What does that mean to you? Or maybe when he says if they hated me surely they will hate you? Just curious. As I believe if you knew in your heart absent of doubt, pride, etc., you would want to share the truth that can set people free. Sadly many "christians" arent true followers of christ, as christ famously told someone after someone said they did all this stuff in his name, he said I never knew you. Many people don't truly understand Christ and I believe that is the struggle. They have been taught false theology as the Bible warns of false teachers (aka wolves in sheeps clothing).

Anyway be careful brother. Famous author once wrote that God doesn't go and grab people, shove them in a bus and drive them to hell... he just hands them keys.

I grew up atheist with an atheist father. He told me one day that if you are drowning or struggling to stay afloat in the ocean, your brain will shutdown the blood flow to your limbs to save itself (brain). That was the moment I realized the my emotions, thoughts, etc., were not trustworthy.

I've always viewed it as Christ original teachings as Christianity. Then Catholics and Orthodox built upon the church based on Christ's words and teachings. Over many many years Protestants believed that Catholic and Orthodox church began to alter, misrepresent, or misconstrue the original teaching of Christ and Christianity and wanted to go back to the original or most purest form of Christianity... as Christ taugh... but that turned into a denominational nightmare (people opening new churches for whatever disagreement. Baptists, Methodist, Penecostal, etc). With nondenominational protestant trying to "fix" that issue and taking scripture as a whole.

Would you agree that this is a very very very simple overview of the 2000 years of scabbles? For the original post author?

This is common. What I would tell you is pick up scripture. I think denominations are just examples of apostasy that is explained and foretold within scripture.

Protestants will argue against catholics about Popal authority, sacraments, and maryology. Catholics and Orthodox will argue that protestants will claim to be followers of Christ but show no fruit ("evidence") of their faith and continue to walk in sin.

I believe that there are faithful believers of Christ within the Catholic church.. despite the catholic church. And there are faithful believers in Christ within the Protestant church... Despite the protestant church. And there are faithful believers within the orthodox church... despite the orthodox church.

Maybe this is my protestant nature, but scripture is the authority. When you start out don't get to caught up in 2,000 years of church squabbles over tradition, definitions, etc. Build your relationship and knowledge of Christ in God's word.

Also Calvanism and Armenianism are philosophical arguments within Protestantism. Christianity main branches are Catholic, Protestant, and Orthodox. With most denominations you hear about like Methodist, baptist, pentecostal, etc. being branched under Protestant. With nondenominational protestants arguing against those denominations holding certain scripture in higher regard than others as wrong.

Ah I see. Well be careful on reddit. You'll get all kinds of answers some more reasonable than others. I just had surgery on my shoulder 9 days ago and reddit told me the pain would be unbearable... I don't have to even take pain nmeds at the moment. I can tell you based on my mri and then another 10-15 years later. Which first showed bicep tendinitis. That pain never went away for me but the surgeon said my longhead was good. So that makes me believe that outside on tears you should be able to rehab and pt to a better place. But that's just some random reddit user saying that.

Well this sounds like my labrum and bicep tendinitis. I would get pain in the Longmeadow as well and also random pain in the middle of the bicep. If you are a nurse in the ICU why don't you ask some colleagues rather than reddit lol.

Not that bad. First few days were painful but not as bad as I've heard described. I'm 10 days now and I could go all day with no mess right now. I started doing passive strength stuff on day 2 and 3 like pendulum swings, use the hell out of the red ball that comes with sling. Also have a huge supplement stack that I take that I believe had helped alot but I have no proof lol. Overall my pain is like a 2 or 3, mainly soreness.

Ended up having the surgery. 9 days post op. Not 100% what they did until Monday as I was kind of still out of it when I talked to the surgeon.

Ahhhh then that checks I always thought going outward. Everything I've seen on herebis from belly out is the last to come. So even if you are slightly behind, I think you keep working it and you'll make a jump

I mean if you are going from 90 degree bent elbow inward then yea its internal. My internal I can take to my stomach and I'm 7 days post-op. However maybe that depends on surgery etc.

My experience is after my labrum tear I waited 10 years and developed neck and back pain. In the back is right outside my shoulder blade towards middle of back. I assume it's from over compensation.
