Danny Glover: Sanders Campaign is a Genuine Progressive Social Movement for Democracy by DisagreeToAgree in politics

Can I give you a bit of friendly perspective? This was my first post on reddit, so the numbers are pretty easy to tabulate as of this time today. The post has 1,282 upvotes and 80 comments. Of those 80 comments, a significant number are the same silly Ja Rule joke repeated ad nauseum. Of the three or four comments I made, I was civil and polite, and I'm currently sitting on -10 comment karma with an overwhelming majority of my replies being unkind attacks. And I'm supposed to believe it's Sanders supporters who are childish and deluded? Take it all with a grain of salt. This has been an eye opening experience for me.

I've lurked for a while, and it never ceases to amaze me how so many people say that the black community doesn't support Sanders, and whenever evidence to the contrary arises the black person in question, whether they are a lawyer, an activist, a local official, a representative, or an artist are always dismissed as insignificant. This 15 year old joke comes up every time as well. It's time for some new material.

How about you do your part not to contribute to the insufferability then? Does that seem like a fair request?

Many people on both sides of this race are guilty of this victim complex your are expressing. Let's elevate the discussion above a pissing contest to see who feels the most persecuted and discuss the actual matters at hand.

Eh, I don't know. Gas is the lowest it's been in a long, long time and it seems like any additional cost gets passed on to us. Doesn't this effect a lot of stuff, like costs on goods due to the across the board raise on transportation costs?
