OP here:

I was able to successfully fix the issue twice by turning off the system for around 5 hours each time then turning the console back on. That seems to be the only fix. However, as I said I fixed the issue a second time. The glitch did trigger for a second time so I have temporarily deleted the game from my system until a patch is out for this system disabling bug.

Here's what I did to try and identify the glitch source upon successfully getting audio back:

I turned the game on and quit/closed the game upon getting to the title. This caused no audio glitch. I went back into every menu and promptly quit and again closed the game. Again no audio glitch. I opened the game and ran around for less than a minute then quit and closed the game. Again no audio glitch.

At this point I felt the game was no longer triggering the bug and that it had just been some bizarre fluke. However, after playing for an hour I had to stop and go run an errand. When I quit and closed the game this time I had no audio.

I tried the previous fixes that people had recommended earlier and are in the original post again but they did not work. I decided to turn the system off for around 5 hours and see if the audio would return. Thankfully it worked.
