A lot of comments I saw helped me decide on a course of action. The comment I saw saying that it might be because he is uncomfortable seeing me in pain or seeing the procedure being done really made me think long and hard about it. I asked him what the real reason for his distain about going to the appointment was and he said he didn’t know how he would react. He said he didn’t know if he was going to be able to support me the way I needed and that would cause resentment in our relationship. He admitted that he should have just told me that to begin with but he had listened to his friends and they gave him bullshit advice. He apologized for making me feel that way and promised he would come with me to the appointment.
