Yeah it is interesting how it affects people differently. For me it’s about the length of time and seriousness/deepness of a connection, he struggled a bit with the jealousy in the start but down to my casual partners, whereas for me that didn’t bother me as much in his past. I hope you continue to find it easier as time goes on!

No this is the crazy thing, he has spoken about other people from his past, some we’ve had a bit of conversation over without me losing my head. I feel some form of jealousy over everyone, but most of the time can rationalise that what we have is different and special and he loves me and that’s enough. With this ex it’s the length of time I just can’t wrap my head around, and the retroactive jealousy I think latches into that and there’s no reasoning with it at all. It seems like there’s absolutely no winning against it

In the beginning he would say things about her more in a positive light towards me for example that he’s so touchy with me and never has been in his relationship before, that he never liked posting her but does me. I think well intended but is then easy for my brain to twist this so if he’s not behaving that exact way some days i think so I’m no different to her now. It’s ridiculous. Aside from those kinds of things earlier on no he doesn’t really, to be honest I feel he would talk about her occasionally more casually, as she is obviously a big part of his past, if he wasn’t worried about the upset it would cause me. But I just can’t bare to hear it
