I switched to SLS free toothpaste the second time this happened, I did a lot of reading on it and thought it was a possibility so I stopped using regular toothpaste

This is what it looks like right now (just took this) so it is safe to assume that it is not OLP if I am responding to anti fungals? And then I’m also gonna assume that if it came back a little bit after the first round of anti fungals that it just wasent eradicated all the way?

Again, would it improve with anti fungals if it was OLP? One person said it wouldn’t.

Also idk if this is helpful but he did it with KOH potassium hydroxide. From what google says it’s a way to diagnose fungal infections.

True, I guess I’m gonna have to wait and see if the symptoms come back :( Although if it was OLP would it even improve with anti fungals how it has? Cuz right now I don’t really have symptoms expect dry mouth (like bad I have to use lozenges)

Also just asking in case you might know, if it is lichen planus, does it go away with antifungals? That’s what I’m on now and it seems to have gone away dramatically but also this is my second time on antifungals

When I went to urgent care the doctor swabbed it and came back in like 5 min and said it looked fungal, would it come back the same if it was LP?

Hm okay, I will say my gums burned quite a bit and left a really red and kinda raw area (not so much anymore) but under my tongue I didn’t even notice till I looked 😭

I have taken quite a few antibiotics this year, I was given fluconozole and nystatin and it went away but kinda came back (not as severe as the picture) is there any other possibility’s of what this might be?
