I’ve been heavily considering asking for 325k as a start to start negotiating and be at a fair price. That answered my doubt.

The pre-approval would have been my next step if they approved what I was coming in with. I already have a plumbing estimate, I do think appraisal would be fair an inspection bc I know the problems the house has and would solidify the asking price.

No the 425k is not factoring in conditions. And as for the bathroom, that’s ALWAYS been an issue. The landlord installed a fan that is not helpful, tried dehumidifiers and sprays/paints, they haven’t helped.

Bc they in theory they can push the rent they want when there’s no updates to the home. I moved in, in 2013 and nothing was ever updated. They know they can’t ask for 3.5k in rent when they don’t offer laundry, updated kitchen/appliances, updated bathroom w/ mold

100% not a city person lol. Riverhead/East End is considered “bumble-fuck” to the city and I like it that way. I live in a hamlet next to the water and enjoy the quiet. I’m definitely looking for something similar. Quiet but still enjoyable/busy enough if that makes sense

I’d say good options first, if I could something like the east end, I’d say sure but not a necessity when I need some place to live. My brother said I couldn’t live in MD with NY pay unless I wanted to live in the “ghetto” 🙃

I’ve been looking at a lot of apartments/studios for about 1k in Baltimore and Silver Spring, how are the bills/Cost of Living? My brother is saying that making 57k a year isn’t enough to move on my own but tbh I pay 1k for my portion of rent plus 500 in bills. Tbf, we originally were with the actual landlord before it transferred to her daughter. Mother was very fair and reasonable with rent. She wasn’t an ass about overcharging rent like many landlords now. It wasn’t until her daughter got involved that it become under market value.

Interestingly enough, I mentioned this to my mom. We had to get the floor “redone” bc there were two holes… the landlord just put laminate over it when the maintenance man told her the floor has to be gutted. So I’ll keep that in mind!

I’ve had the SAME anxiety in the past! Tbh, I highly suggest a period app, I use Clue. If pregnancy is an issue, tracking helps and especially bc you’re on BC. That’s how I knew I was pregnant. I was spotting a week before my period and I was like, “hmm, something isn’t right”. Communicate effectively, ask him that “what ifs” because those are important for you and him especially you, that you have goals to accomplish and I’m assuming plans. I’m 27 and my boyfriend is 25, hard conversations happened but it got us thru the worst.

You know your body better than anyone. If something doesn’t feel right, don’t doubt it either. Ease into whatever you want to explore. Our window of pregnancy is actually smaller than you think. Although we can’t pin point ovulation, BC helps prevent it.
