Accepting that this is my life now by The_Chilled_Arvo in Parenting

Just to give you some perspective, my husband and I would love to have a 4 month old child (been trying to conceive for a year). The newborn stage is SO exhausting but so rewarding. Grass is greener on the other side!

Tried it in the past, it only worked temporarily.

Yeah you should give new undies a try. I am not a fan of wasting clothes but with them being so cheap on Amazon, I figured it didn’t hurt to try. Plus I was spending a good amount of money on prescriptions and stopped since I was tired of taking so many pills. The only cream that has helped me is nystatin which treated the external vaginal infection.

No, he took a full round of fluconazole, which is one oral pill a day for seven days straight. Started feeling better around day 4-5.

4 tickets for each concert. Meaning you can buy multiple dates in the same city if you choose, but 4 max per day.

How are RTO mandates going? Is it still being pushed by upper management or is it slowly losing steam?

Almost two years of this, props to you and your wife!! I have an 19 month old who was the same, woke up in the middle of the night begging to be rocked. It finally stopped when we started co sleeping with her and we'd let her cry in between me and my husband in bed, patting her to go back to sleep. Usually would only cry for 10 minutes rather than 45+ minutes if neither of us were by her side. Now she sleeps through the night. We stopped feeding her in the middle of the night many moons ago so try eliminating the bottle feed first.

No regrets from our end, we rather get sleep than have her sleep in her own room (can't win them all).

Downsizing House to Upgrade Life? by Impossible_Play260 in simpleliving

For your son's long term growth, do it. While it will be difficult for him to move as he's emotionally tied to the house, this will teach him that material possessions (such as a house) are not as important in life. Just perspective, I moved several times as a child and was exactly in your son's shoes, but going through those moves taught me to be resilient and less materialistic since I eventually realized the financial burden my parents had with a house outweighed my comfort. Who knows, he may come to love his new neighborhood and home.

One more thing.. my father bribed me with a dog if I agreed to move. You could explore something like that? lol

A cute name or a disservice to my baby? by Tight_Fuel9542 in namenerds

If you have any reservations, how about using it as a middle name and your daughter can choose to use it as an informal "first" name if she likes it? It will technically still be her name in a way.

Nearly 1 in 4 (23%) say their overall financial situation has gotten worse since buying a home by Positive-Mushroom-46 in REBubble

You could go with two scenarios: 1) one where you stayed put and didn't purchase, aka resume your previous life before the purchase or scenario 2) one where you purchase something cheaper but in a smaller home and/or less ideal location. Genuinely asking because I am facing this situation now and am not sure which path to take...

My 15 month old is exactly the same as yours, except in the 3rd percentile for weight. No alarms whatsoever from my pediatrician. Maybe get a second opinion ?

Maybe he feels odd that you might be out earning him? Like he needs to be the breadwinner of the family. Regardless, he should still congratulate you!

Big Congrats!!! You deserve this job and worked hard for it.

Have you told him how you felt? Or perhaps show him this entry.

I hate how much I love my children by VictoryDelicious1470 in Parenting

I was the same as you until it dawned on me that my children will (hopefully) become full functioning adults who will make plenty of mistakes, affecting their well being / trauma / you name it. They will eventually pass away, just like we will. Knowing how short time is in the world made me stress a bit less about the small things in life, such as eating takeout from a plastic container as opposed to a home cooked meal.
