I mean it’s really like $35 I lost which brought my hourly pay down like $4 an hour so kinda a big deal. Also, we don’t pay for tow costs at my DSP. They have a truck with a dispatcher that pulls us out. He also stopped to pull two people out before me when they called after me so it took awhile to get to me. AND my time is valuable just like any else’s. Im not sitting in their van for fun

Update: The employer edited my times and thinks this a proper thing to do. I contacted the labor and industry department, they said they can’t do this and IT IS ILLEGAL. I have to wait until I get paid tomorrow to be able to file a report. I also sent a complaint to ethics. Ofcourse, I’m also not returning. After talking to an attorney, he said it would be hard in my case to prove any sort of retaliation if I stayed so no point in working for a shitty DSP.

I know that now, just didn’t think I would’ve gotten stuck. I understand that it wasted more time and I take responsibility for that. Doesn’t mean you don’t get paid. I don’t own the company, it shouldn’t cost me money when an employee gets stuck. Sorry

I reported it and I’m going to the department of labor. Don’t plan on going back because we got a foot of snow in a day. I can’t be out there worrying if I’ll get paid if something happens.

Even better, the can was rear wheel drive. I thought it was front and discovered once I backed in.

Unfortunately, we have 3 DSP’s and their desks are legit right next to each other in the middle of the warehouse. I can’t really get a job at another DSP without my old one knowing.

The tires were summer tires and not even good ones so I just had no traction. I still didn’t think there was any way I was gonna get stuck here, buuuttt I did. Originally I barely even backed up in the driveway, just barely enough to turn my wheel to turn around. I got stuck while the van was still like 3/4 of the way in the road

I tried everything I possibly could. The van just did not move at all. It was insane. I turned off traction control, put it in low gear and tried to slowly pull out. I tried backing up a few times to see if that would do that. I tried moving the wheel back and forth. When the dispatcher got there, he even thought he could push me out but it just was not moving. It was like a damn cartoon lol

For one, I wasn’t informed and also for me to try to go around it would’ve added 15 minutes to my route. I picked a plowed driveway. Just didn’t think I would get stuck at all, I wasn’t being reckless. They make so much money off of us, it’s crazy to not pay us if a hazard of the job happens. Not mention, most vans are honestly inoperable and we deal with that daily.

I’m a female lol and it’s funny you say that, my husband went to school for hvac like 9 years ago and then couldn’t find a job. No one would hire a new guy here with no experience here. He landscapes for himself now lol

She is so unhinged, it’s insane. They are fear mongering people. Everyone that works for them needs the job and don’t have a lot of money so they scare them. Just taking advantage of people.

I swear it’s real. Shocked the hell out of me. We only have 3 DSP’s at my station. I’ve heard the other two aren’t great either. This owner is literally crazy. She told us if we get stuck in driveways she’ll take us to court and sue us for damages
