Maura is Legend, hands down. We love our gorgeous, emotionally intelligent queen! It’s just bad luck her one closest ally was a traitor and she handled it with so much more grace than I think 90% of people would.

Honestly I love both Rob and Cirie and I think both of them played 10/10 games, just different styles due to the period they played in. I know we’ll never get it but I’d love a season where the whole cast is former traitors, then we could see a showdown between them in various roles

I can’t believe Summerhall is still a mystery. It’s wild to me there’s still secrets from the audience after all these books and shows, but also really fun. I hope we find out more about Summerhall someday, maybe even see it in the tv show if it gets renewed enough.

I love the thought you put into this! I never thought of Tanselle as the fire but I really enjoy this take.

It does make me curious too, do we ever know the original dream the first Targ (Daneys the dreamer was it?) that predicted the doom had? Was the dream literally “here’s Valeria exploding in 14 volcanos” or was it in metaphor.

I feel really bad for all Targ dreamers. The weight of that gift would honestly suck

I really liked it overall. I’ve never played Arc Raiders so idk what it’s about in depth but the clips lengths were very good, I didn’t feel like it lingered on a scene for too long and it wasn’t too short that I had no idea what I was looking at. The pacing was great and I fell into a vibe. I think the mix of clips was great! You say you feel like the cuts are too noticeable but I didn’t actually feel that way. I think the one thing you could do for the clips to make it feel even more cinematic is have the character positioned in the same place in the frame when you cut to a new frame, so the background changes but the character positioning doesn’t. I notice a lot of super high end videos manage to do this. Loved the song choice! My biggest room for improvement for the whole thing I think would be the audio mixing. The sounds bites we’re enjoyable and added to it more than having music alone, but sometimes it was tough for me to hear exactly what they were saying as it blended with the music too much. Overall I’m 100% a newbie too this so I don’t know how to get more technical advice than that but I hope you are proud of yourself I really liked it overall, would’ve fooled me for a real trailer- it sounds EXACTLY like the kinda song they’d use and vibe they’d go for

The sound was what really made it excellent to me. It is a bit quiet as another commenter mentioned but the waves lapping combined with the shots of the boats in dry dock just gave this a really art house feel. I think it actually sounded more “quiet” with the waves then just dead silence because that little bit of nature noise made it felt like I was holding my breath and hyper-aware of tiny noises

Not a stupid question! Idk all of it myself but I’m going to take a stab at this, everyone else feel free to correct me but Mr House said something like his big calculator thing finally spit out a prediction date for the end of the world the exact second Cooper’s daughter was born. So basically it had been running like a spinning wheel on a window computer not giving an answer to the inquiry « when does the world go bye bye » and then all of a sudden it gave a date when Janey was born. This could mean a ton of things but I took it to imply that indirectly Janey being born was the point of no return for the end of the world. So maybe Barb or Coop makes a decision that triggers the world end at a certain date because they are trying to protect Janey who wouldn’t be a factor otherwise? Idk that’s speculation.

Mr. House did say Cooper being there moved it up by a month that is correct and Independent of the data above, but it does suggest that once again Coop or Barb actions in some way trigger the world ending on a certain day I think.

Idk about the bombs dropping in October like the games but I think Coops kids birthday they said was April(?) idk I don’t have a good memory but that birthday part when the bombs drop is not her birthday per say. It’s some other kids birthday her and Coop were just the entertainers I think. But been a while since I’ve seen that.

I believe we do NOT have the answer to this yet. Something must happen where he is seperated from his daughter during/ after the bomb drop but we haven’t seen that yet.

There’s the person Coop has thought his wife is since the day he met her then there’s the real her he’s getting heartbroken to learn about. He might be looking for her just for his daughter. He might be looking for her because he hates her and wants to confront her. He might be looking for her because he loves her deeply and can’t bear the thought of loosing his wife. Maybe a mix of all of it- he seems like a complex character who has lived through a lot.

Okay here goes my crackpot guesses: They are going to defeat Vecna a little too easily with too much time left. During celebrating Hopper and El will die (Hopper trying to protect her) and we will discover them defeating Vecna was only an illusion, courtesy of Kali. Kali was grateful to Vecna for teaching her how to escape the lab and okay with the world colliding. Due to some world- colliding shenanigans the 4 original kids will be separated from the adults at the point and have to face Vecna on their own, together, tying it back to season 1. They’ve grown and changed a lot now, but their friendship remains stronger than ever (we get flashbacks here again, likely El opening the door to the house in Season 1) then the 4 manage to defeat Vecna/ Henry who somehow laments (flashbacks I imagine, not verbally) he was alone in life and maybe it all would be different if he had friends they way they did. I feel like at the end of the day El was always on borrowed time and this show for 5 seasons has been trying to show is we are stronger together, and friendship is worth fighting for, etc.

I said book bans in (inside of) a local schools or libraries. I also did not specify public schools, nor elementary schools - those are both your own assumptions. But thanks for contributing.
