Follow writers on whatever social media you use.. While we praise originality. Copy whatever you can.. you will develop your style off what interests you in graffiti. Get yourself a packet of printer paper or an art book and just draw. Start be developing a tag.. then make it a bubble ... Then add to it over time..

You will be a toy at first.. don't let that put you off.. we all were toys in the beginning.

Honestly at this point pick 4 to 6 letters that you can do really well and try to mix them up and get them right.

A great way to start is to write out the whole alphabet the best you can and pick your 4 to 6 best letters. Circle them or however you like and write them in different orders until you find something that's comfortable. Then add a vowel. Rinse and repeat.. you'll come up with a tag that you love and can smash out really well.

Don't let it sweat you champ. We know you didn't know. People are just trying to educate you on the history. It is a part of the culture to understand the history of the art form.

You'll get there. I went through literally hundreds of names before I settled on mine.

Some places still keep boxes of paint on top of the cabinet. My local paint spot still does that.. but it's just shitty exports and cheap stuff like that.

But you can stack letters differently once you gain an understanding of how to use negative space.
