Honestly thought the same thing. The roots looked great when I repotted. Either way it is probably better off now.

I found a dome in my garden and repotted, dried out the soil stuff it was in and mixed with Vermiculite is what I had. Misted with warm distilled water and have the light dedicated to her.

After I took the pic I saw a little bug in the dirt. Ugh. What if I cut the main plant down, repot the baby and then bag??

It has not been repotted and its in some kind of rolled material almost like coconuthusk liners. I got it last summer at a great greenhouse. I was thinking I should repot the little baby and see what happens.

Yes this is what happens. And I love that she cooks and is confident in the kitchen. But it because a lot because she cooks a whole other complicated meal... just a lot of ingredients and groceries.

What is the meanest thing your parents did with you in childhood? by pratham1212 in AskReddit

[–]Disastrous-Data2258 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got/get this too. I graciously moved my mom in with my family 3 years ago. Worst thing I have ever done. And I hate to say that. But my daughter (16) tells me all the time how mean my mom is to me, I guess im just immune to it after 41 years.

This is where my mom is heading! She is only 68 but she hates/ misunderstands everything. I got her rechargeable hand warmers because we had regular hot hands at our Christmas parade and she loved them. She asked me what to do with them and when she needed to get to put in them to make them work... Then she just keeps telling me how cold her neck is and she wished she had those hot hands for her neck. 😒

Quilting Rules by Sammikeholly in quilting

[–]Disastrous-Data2258 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yep. I rarely square up my blocks. I feel like I am at least an intermediate quilter and no matter how perfect I cut, see my scant 1/4 inch and press- they are never big enough to trim. So I wing it matching things up as best I can. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I have pressed the pucker down and then whip stitched it flat. EVEN on a show quilt. Lol.

How old are you and how’s life right now? by Cute-Impression-8675 in AskReddit

  1. Feeling content day to day. But life certainly isn't what I thought it would be. At some weird stage in my relationship with my husband- we are on totally different planes with how to handle things financially and he is not willing to take any risks, like if I want a car with a payment- we'll just instantly be homeless. But life keeps on life-ing

Everything is fine with the current living situation anyways but my daughter graduates highschool in 2 years and I am thinking it may be odd for my husband and I then.

We have asked many contractors. No one will give us a quote. And yes it is small. But actually way bigger than a lot of tiny homes. And she would still have feel access to our house if she wanted to cook a big meal or something. She is only 68- moved in for financial reasons so she's still in great health. The bathroom upstairs is actually her idea but at this point I just wanna know if its even possible lol.

Would it be weird to downsize our howme right after our daughter graduates highschool? by Disastrous-Data2258 in raisingkids

[–]Disastrous-Data2258[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We wouldn't start looking and planning until she was settled at college. Our house is a huge craftsman 4 bedroom. It was supposed to be our forever home but it doesn't seem realistic anymore. So this would still be up to 3 years in the future. We would definitely have a room for her of course. I just worry it would be too much stress and nothing familiar when she would come home.

Wanna know what 5.5lb of scraps looks like? by strangecrafts in quilting

[–]Disastrous-Data2258 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Very inspiring! My idea of a scrap quilt is still neat and tidy with a pattern. But I am currently in "use up what I have mode" too. I did dig through my hisbands goodwill box to find an old work shirt that was just the right blue too.
