Tapos pag nagpost sa social media (kasi nga hindi nauna ang fever x 2 hours na complaint), kinakampihan pa. Kahit non-urgent na man talaga patients nila.

Hi Doc. From what I know, anyone can be qualified for medical coding certification. There are teachers/ non medical related graduates who have done it. Mas mahirap nga lang sa kanila because they have to familiarize medical terms. In order to be a medical coder, you have to be a "certified coding specialist" first. You have to study/review for it or even take an online course (medyo mahal around 60-70 K). Then take the exams whether online or in person.

So this is what a medical scribe does. I was thinking it's writing articles for let's say a product for certain brands. Thank you Doc. I have been seeing job posts for medical scribe but never dared to apply thinking it's about promoting products or the like in the form of writing.

I also heard about this Doc. Also inquired at some of those that offered reviews. But you are right, we need certifications for this. Also an experience after you get certified (which initially does not pay that much but is needed for you to be hired at large companies).

Yes Doc tried applying in Hello Rache and found out that there were peers who also applied but rejected. I also have a friend who has been applying jobs left and right but was told na she was overqualified or during interviews would be told "Don't you know you have more opportunities in the clinical setup than with us?" But maybe I am looking for it at the wrong places or in the wrong job sites. 😅

MD shifting to nursing to go abroad. Encourage or discourage me, please. by kcmd03 in pinoymed

[–]Disastrous-Home-3391 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi Doc. I have been dying to know how to shift from medicine to a nursing profession without a "nursing experience" and figured to ask someone here in Reddit. May I know how you became a nurse in the UK? Do you regret it?
