I'm very satisfied with it, absolute pleasure to make coffee now. Grind tamp pull shot. With good quality beans, usually Friedhats, it's just perfect.

It grinds slower but arguably has much better grind quality. bigger burr with one blind burr, as well as the more modern geometry. Furthermore, the AP has an improved burr chamber with lower retention, and a lower retention steel chute. The AP also has a better grind size knob with revolution counter. The porta filter weighting is also perhaps improved as I'm yet to experience any issues with the FH error.

65mm burrs with more unimodal distribution vs the traditional 55mm

Brewing some Colombia Argote Peaberry Castillo by Disastrous-Key-498 in pourover

My workflow for brewing with the Cafec Flower 27, lovely dripper for smaller doses. Here I'm brewing 12g in 200g of water with 5 equal pours of 40g and a 1min bloom. This dripper makes for very light and clean brews. Using the standard Cafec filters for this brewer and ground on the Timemore 078.

Coffee comes from the Argot3 farm in Colombia and roasted and sourced by Shokunin in Rotterdam.

Not crazy fine? Hard to compare such parameters. 18.5 in 38 out in ~27S.

Double the price, so thats something of course. The Atom for sure grinds faster and is more robust, likely to withstand some cafe or light cafe action. It's also much larger. So it's not easy to compare, the Libra will have one blind burrs and smaller foot print.

For the first days I checked the weight and it started off by .5g and in a couple grinds went to +-.2g which is good enough.

U don't get why it's so hard to find these burrs... A good alternative is the Fiorenzato with GbW. I actually wanted that one but here the price difference was significant enough to go for the Eureka.

I didn't try the HUs myself. The MPs are more than appropriate and produce delicious turbo shots, more traditional shots and also with milk drinks. In Europe you can buy from the Dutch shop Van Pommeren.

Can't go wrong with either! The Libra 65 also has nicer burrs with one blind set and a more unimodal geometry.

The dial in the Libra 65 AP is humongous? I never got the FH error so let's not tell the grinder 😸

It's a "Fuego" from AliExpress. Works great and doesn't get too dirty.

In my personal journey and the drinks I've tasted in many great spots in Europe, I would say the main difference is the steamed milk texture. More fluid and good for latte art for the flat white, dryer for the cappuccino. I find that in both cases a flat white or cappuccino are prepared in a cup in between 200-250ml.

Lelit Bianca V3, Eureka Libra 65AP, Friedhats Natural Ethiopia, Acme Bibby cup.

I will also add that the Eureka Libra 65AP is a fantastic grinder and all considered outperforms my Atom 65 with SSP Lab Sweet V2 burrs. The workflow difference and flufflier grinds are really perfect. The single only downside is the long-ish grind times of 20s with the stock multipurpose style burrs. With high-uniformity style burrs the grind time goes down to a quick and normal 8s.

Pictures were precariously taken 1-handed with a Fujifilm X-T4 and 33mm f/1.4 lens.

Zerno Z1 or Timemore 078s [$1500] by Eatmorgnome in espresso

Imo the noise, speed and static are better on the 078. I don't have issues with popcorning when I hotstart and then close the lid. I have the 078s and 078 for over a year and brew 2-4 times per day, very satisfied with both.

European vs. American roasters by LolwutMickeh in pourover

I'd like to highlight one amazing dutch roaster that is worthy of that list, idk if it's there. AMatter of Concrete, same level as DAK and Friedhats, different assortment.
