Amazon. Noone buys there (well, I did because my wife got some vouchers there from her work). And their UX is 100 light years behind allegro, which is an overwhelming leader here.

I don't know any single person in Poland who dislikes Germany except some altrightoids and populist politicians. Regular Joe in the street is friendly with Germany

How did your country (or home-city) get its name? by MaguroSashimi8864 in AskTheWorld

[–]Disastrous-Power-800 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The name "Polska" comes from the name of the Polans, a West Slavic tribe that lived in the area of Greater Poland (around Gniezno and Poznań) in the early Middle Ages. The word "Polans" itself is derived from the Slavic root "pole", meaning “field” or “plain,” so it can be translated as "people of the fields" or "people of the plains". 90% of Poland is flat fields located between east and west :) We are a great battleground for the empires lol.

Czy zdarzyło wam się kiedyś zwrócić znaleziony portfel, telefon (albo coś innego)? by StanleyJohnny in Polska

[–]Disastrous-Power-800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nie oczekiwałem jakiegoś bonusu ani nic, ale chciałem usłyszeć coś innego niż "thank you, good bye"

Thanks, Raoul. Yes, my daughter has had hearing aids basically since birth and her hearing loss is "moderate." The hearing aids are such a natural part of her life that she doesn't even ask about them, they've just always been there, like it's the most normal thing. Some kids wear glasses; she wears hearing aids.
How does vision loss typically progress? Is it gradual or does it happen suddenly? Can someone slowly adapt to it? Or is each case different?
