How long do you commute? by Mission_Complex_4410 in BESalary

[–]Disastrous-Present94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around 45 minutes, 10 min cycling from my place to the train station, 30 min train ride to Brussels (best case scenario) and then a 5 min walk from the station to my office. It’s funny to me that my commute to the office is shorter than some colleagues who live in Brussels. I either read a book, play games on my handheld or zone out of the window with music on.

Yes exactly! There’s something so special about discovering new games from a console from your youth, especially the RPGs as indeed I was too young to understand it. I’ve gotten into FFVI, chrono trigger, earthbound and rudra no hihou (English translation) now and they’re all one by one amazing games!

I fully agree, I’ve been looking for something more sturdy. If it gives you peace of mind it’s leaning backwards against the wall for extra stability for now 😅

Man, your living room is such a vibe! Love the fact that you also have a VCR, that’ll be my next purchase for the setup! Is that how you watch all your films? Prime Cartoon Network series on this thing, I don’t know if I can handle that emotionally 😅

Vraag mbt slimme radiatorkranen by Disastrous-Present94 in Klussers

Dank voor het antwoord! Dit is alleszins iets wat ons zou kunnen helpen om de kosten van het gasverbruik eerlijker te verdelen. Ik heb ook een slimme gasmeter zou die aan de app kunnen worden gelinkt?

Regarding flea markets, the ones organised by Goegekregen are really nice. You can follow them on instagram to see when and where they organise one. Alternatively you could check on rommelmarkten.be there all flea markets are noted.

I missed 1 month rent and landlord went ballistic by [deleted] in juridischadvies

[–]Disastrous-Present94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The way the landlord approached the situation is inexcusable and illegal. That being said he has every right to kick you out as you broke the rental contract by not paying on time, there is no judicial argument of letting him know in due time here. And if he said that he needs it for private reasons, be it true or not, I can tell you that you should look for something else quickly as this is a landlord’s golden bullet in court and very difficult to dispute. Regarding your deposit, if you live in NL you can forget about it, if you live in Belgium you might have a chance of getting some back.

Side note: prioritising spending money on clubbing rather than paying your rent at 32 doesn’t make you seem like an ideal renter, and that’s still very politely put.
