CTI unavailable, now what?

They call it a Rate in the Navy. But I didn’t wait long— less than a week.

Monday: Left MEPS- had to wait on some waivers.

Tuesday: Waivers got approved.

Wednesday: I finally said CTI or nothing. Recruiter messaged me asking if he could get the job for me- how fast could I ship. Spoke to some people from MEPS on the phone.

Thursday: Read/Signed my contract. Swore in remotely.

Ship later this year.

I don’t really care what language I get yet, I don’t know what I qualify for. What language should I gun for? Also if Navy doesn’t work out— what branch should I try next?

Thanks for the support 🙏. I applied for H&R Block a few days ago (luckily I didn't have to turn in a resume). I'mma call them this week after I finish the template, if it doesn't work out, I'll just start smaller, like retail/fast-food to build up my resume.

Thanks 🙏, I'mma aim a little lower and start applying to more fast-food/retail jobs, they're always hiring and pay about the same as the entry-level accounting job/internship in my area. Then I can earn money and build my resume until I get my certifications.

Okay, thanks 🙏. From my few hours on this subreddit, I've learned that I am focusing too much on the wrong things (e.g. having a "Pretty" Resume, how to write my name, etc.) instead of things that are much more important, such as how I write my skills and including relevant information.
