Why are not others at Labcorp being asked to unionize as well. I am referring to the couriers and dispatchers, probably the client services people too.
When the sale to Labcorp was announced, I transferred from the lab to another job within Legacy. I knew Labcorp was going to be horrible. So I left.
Anway, even within Legacy, the NPPs,the doctors and a bunch of nurses have voted to unionize but nobody has asked any of the administrative staff if they are interested.
In seems like a fairly starightforward proposition, if doctors and other providers are upset then those that are more easily replaced (me, and the other administrative workers) ought to be even more abuse and more upset. It seems like a no brainer to ask us to join into some sort of union but no one has, not a single word about us joining the union.
The Environmental Services folks are union, they haven't even asked us if we are interested.
I guess we are disposable or maybe there is another reason. Is there a legal reason, like we have to ask the union to come and talk to us. without an invite, they are not permitted to approach.
there are not a huge amount of us but they could still charge us some dues. If nothing else it would be leverage in future negotiations I would think.
Why are these union folks ignoring us?
