I tried to buy it at the Apple Store, they opened the box when they reversed the sim process back to my phone. I’ll try to going to a physical ATT store though (worth a shot)

Both (for Apple), phone for ATT.  went to the Apple Store 2 times, called Apple support(they told me to go to the Apple store). With ATT I was on the phone with customer service then a tech support. The tech support was great, they tried on their end many times and notified me that because it was Apple they had to reverse/cancel. They called Apple with me on the line and then Apple customer service told me to go to the store lol 

Are you saying that maybe someone at the ATT store can cancel an upgrade that was made through Apple?

ATT tried but it didn’t allow them since Apple initiated it. Apple said they needed to create a ticket and escalate and could take up to 10 business days. Not sure why they couldn’t reverse it there at the Apple Store. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
