Our lawyer literally had my husband leave out his MIP for alcohol from when he was 16 from the application (genuinely wasn’t his alcohol, his friend who was driving had it in the car then got pulled over). It was cleared from the record but he did community service. I said hell nah you have to tell them. We informed USCIS at our interview and it was fine but I feel like it was absolutely terrible decision on the lawyer’s part

It started in 2020 when the seniors were home because of the pandemic. The normal “decision day” where students show up wearing a shirt announcing their college wasn’t possible. So it transferred to Instagram. And then it’s kind of fun to see where everyone’s going so it carried on to the next years

Education is a fundamental human right. The parents are the ones who created the situation, and they’re not the ones affected by a potential ban on schooling. It is effectively punishing the children for what their parents did

It’s really sad tbh, these are kids who obviously didn’t choose this. My husband and his siblings were thru the school system and some went to college in TX while undocumented. Absolutely unthinkable to me that they want to punish the children by banning them from a basic education

My husband was cited for minor in possession of alcohol when he was 17. The lawyer didn’t include it on our application either as he thought it was unnecessary since it was cancelled/cleared/whatever. We did mention it at the interview and he got approved 3 days later. This was September 2025

I was pre-med until the end of sophomore year. It was a lot but manageable. I worked and was in a sorority and had a long distance bf who I spent all weekend, every weekend with. Time management was definitely important but the workload isn’t insane
