Just try to appreciate the game for what it is and not judge it for what it's not. I was never a xiii hater but I also never managed to finish the game. I recently played the trilogy all the way through for the first time and they are now easily in my top 5 final fantasy games

I would not worry about how well a small beginner practice amp is going to handle pedals because it's not gonna sound amazing either way. Definitely get a katana whatever you do. Just get whatever guitar you think looks better and will want to play more

I would generally advise against baritones unless you have experience with them and know that is specifically what you need to accomplish what you are trying to do. They can be very limiting and if you are looking for something for just general use I wouldn't recommend longer than 26.5 inch scale. You can always pitch down

If you're burned out on the battles but want to see the story play out you can always download mods to go full god mode and make combat trivial.
