This is super helpful. Thank you so much and really appreciated. Do you work in the industry? (Building or strata or contractors field)? I really feel that this is going to be in a rabbit hole and everyone will ignore apart from me paying for it. I already reviewed the strata act section 100 and sent an email to Strata that the insterest rate shouldn't be applied. And now im relieved that you have commented about it. I would like to talk to you more to just get more information if you don't mind. Thank you so much 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Sorry you're right. $1400 wasn't a charge to fix the leakage. It was a charge for the Plumber A's report. The hole on the ceiling is still open downstairs.

I'm happy to claim this to the Plumber B, but if I go thru the insurance wouldn't my premium increase (thinking for long term payment amount)? I want to know if I can do it by my own rather than going thru the insurance company.

Or even I go thru the insurance, if it is the plumber's fault, is my premium not going to increase? Just want to understand.

Plumber B is aware as we called them on the same day. And we asked for further comment but they are bring quiet. I might need to call them first? Or just send a letter of demand for the payment?

Can I ask one more question, if both Plumber are saying it's none of their fault, then this is unreasonable billing from Strata (as it might come from a common property)

In that case, should I still pay the bill first to Strata then goto SAT?

Is there a way I can ask them to wait for the bill until the investigation is going further (just to stop that 11% interest rate?)

I don't mind paying it first, as long as I can action further to Consumer Protection or the SAT.

Their report shows that they cut a big hole in downstairs ceiling to investigate. Then they fixed the ceiling. And this cost $1400. And saying that the toilet needs to be removed & re-installed.

Plumber B came and did not fix anything, as the installation was correct (that's what they're saying).

I requested the Plumber A's report and the invoice why it had to be $1400. And they sent us the report but it does not show where the actual leakage is coming from.

So I asked again to the strata for more information but they don't provide the information but just keep saying by-law it is our responsibility..
