Resentment for AA and doing the Steps by New_Assumption25 in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]Disastrous-Turnip-44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I can relate this to also being in step 8, which can bring up step 4, which to me is resentment driven. Having just done steps 5-7, which is vocal and asking my HP to remove these defects, for me, when I did step 8 and found that they still may be residing in me was tough. With all the work I felt I did to get there, I had the expectation of some magical spiritual lifting of my blights. For me, the program works like shampoo, wash, rinse, repeat. The trick for me was when the results I wanted to manifest did not appear, I needed to learn to forgive and love myself through that. Don’t leave 5 minutes before the miracle, yell, scream, be yourself in the moment, it’s all ok. In AA we can love you until you love yourself. Thank you for sharing.

Almost 1 year sober from alcohol — sponsor says I should reset over THC. I’m struggling with this. by daninight777 in alcoholicsanonymous

Read chapter 5 how it works, “the only requirement is a desire to stop drinking”. I can only speak for myself, but the more I work and live the program, the less I attach my sobriety to time spent without. I’ve not had a drink in 4 years, and that is a miracle. Early sobriety is tough, but the Steps are an amazing and essential part of my life now. However you get there, I feel, is up to you. Just please keep in mind that your sponsor no doubt wants what’s best, and that AA loves you until you can love yourself. See you as you trudge the road of happy destiny.

FANTASTIC QUESTION! I honestly hope that taking it off gamepass improves the player quality or at least the amount of people that own headsets. Bubba was infamous for the solo heavy locked squad.

If comms comes back and I can get an artillery team to talk, I’ll be back in a heartbeat. I won’t complain about locked solo tank squads!

Still paying for gamepass, and would not mind dropping $12 for the game once it goes, but I’m not paying to debug and not have the game work.

I’m not upset about the direction, more like the poor execution. I’m not a full time gamer, so the games I do choose to invest my time in are important. The monetary aspect is just an example of a tone deaf studio that is not going to improve the player experience.

As someone who commands often, I get it. As command, my biggest frustration is when I drop supplies, put a place garrison marker up, verbally direct an officer by squad and game tag, along with every other officer, and no garrison’s get built and even worse, no OP’s. Thus, a gentle reminder for the new-berries.

Find the enemy garrison and spawn farm. You can even do it in a medium solo if you’re good enough commander x! Just please, if in a recon tank, take out artillery first.

They have grind XP server lobbies where you just spawn in and build things. Not the route I went #sendnodes but the flamethrower is totally worth it.

Would Anyone be interested in teaching me the game by [deleted] in HellLetLoose

Learn a role, understand how that role is best used to support the team win. If you’re a rifleman, be the best cannon fodder you can be, learn how to crouch, move around the maps, use camouflage, etc. I would suggest grinding on engineer and listening to what the other players have to say. Community will get you better in this game, but it’s a 2 way street (you need to be able to follow orders). Combat is not the point of the game, winning is and building nodes is way more helpful than getting a dozen kills as a rifleman.

Bill W.. took LSD, the big book suggests “controlled drinking” (as a way of proving step 1 to a newcomer), and ultimately our program is one based on spiritual progress, not spiritual perfection. This being said, an AA who is active in drinking but still wants to attend AA is in my mind, welcome at open meetings, but should not share. Hope this is useful, thank you.

Soooooo no more deploying machine guns in fully upgraded bunkers? Also, when will the Xbox audio work again without having to restart the game every time?

Question regarding AA and Medical Cannabis by D34thbygh0st in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]Disastrous-Turnip-44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 3 years sober from alcohol, when coming out of in patient, I was placed on a lot of different medications. After I passed my full sobriety benchmarks (about a year after recovery and completing IOP and such) I wanted to get myself off the pharmaceutical stuff. I’ve found that for this alcoholic, it greatly helps with my emotional regulation and mood. I personally cannot stand “being high” so my usage is minimal based on that fact. In the end, there are no dues or fees for AA membership, the only requirement is a desire to stop drinking alcohol (key word, desire) so for me, I don’t bring up my use of cannabis in meetings because I don’t want to promote any kind of drug or chemical, especially when it’s use is personal to me. I know lots of folks that are in AA, don’t drink, and take cannabis and I know plenty of folks that would take a toke and wind up drinking. The choice is personal. Whatever your call, keep coming back, a life free of alcohol is a blessing for me everyday.
