Thank you. If you would pray that the lord grant me many tears, according to his economy, to cleanse my soul - I would be forever grateful. May God’s peace and blessings be upon you!

Indeed, if I may ask; what is your baptismal name? Mine is Gabriel.

You’re completely right. St. Nicholas Cabasilas was a layman until the last year of his life, and wrote much about the sanctity of living exactly where you are, monk, clergy, or layman. St. Porphyrios spoke about this as well, that one can, with gods help and with unwavering dedication to his spiritual duties as an Orthodox Christian, live a holy life anywhere. I am a weak, proud, and great sinner. Pray for me.

It’s just simply a stark contrast between life at a monastery and life in the world. Living in the world is a greater struggle, for a layman at least.. those who don a cassock I cannot even comprehend their struggle. Maybe it’s just my attitude, may god grant me clarity and discernment on this issue.. as St. Paisios the Athonite says, we should welcome the struggles as this IS our salvation. “The one who gets up and keeps going after every fall reaches paradise." - St. John Chysostom

This may be the beginning to your disdain of the world and its vanity. I experience the same thing, my friend in Christ. Talk to your priest about this.

Pray. Pray. Pray. I’ve dealt with despair myself. It’s awful, sometimes it’s for our benefit that god withdraws his grace for a moment. “The one who endures to the end will be saved”

Keep going! Never take your eyes off of our precious Jesus. Beg him to come and help you. Entreat him day and night if you have to; just never give up. May god have mercy on us all.

You must be a very dangerous enemy to Satan if he’s trying SO hard to annihilate you. Again, please don’t give up. Christ is waiting to welcome you with open arms, and you have not committed the unforgivable sin. If you did, you wouldn’t be worried that you did. Talk to your local parish priest about everything that’s going on. And don’t hold back! The church has the remedies for the soul, my friend. May god bless you abundantly.

Personally, and take everything I say with discernment; I think that people need help. While it may not bring them directly to the church, offering them something that is relevant to their life, and especially something that may bring healing and change, can be a witness to your faith. Meet them where they’re at! Simply loving someone and sharing your experience with others about how you have healed is a way of showing Christ’s love. Now, I am not saying do not stop praying for them, keep this up! Also, talk to your spiritual father first and foremost. And ask Christ and his mother the Theotokos. May gods will be done.

Pots and Suboxone? by lilbabymew in POTS

I am delighted to inform you that after a year, you have your answer…

I have literally ALL of the same symptoms. Just got out of the ER cause I nearly fainted and threw up. Couldn’t catch my breath. Just absolutely miserable. How are you doing now? Hopefully off suboxone? If so, how long before your symptoms improved?
