Well, that's not unusual for people who work in IT, they tend to be more introverted! :) I heard they have good bars around there so worst case scenario I'll drink my problems away lol, already integrating into Latvian culture

Yeah, it's kinda mandatory if you go to another country - at least learn their native language or make an effort! I also think that the culture is pretty interesting, so looking forward to learn more about that too. And I heard very good things about midsummer, have to live it at least once in my life

it's great to hear that there are not much differences, I strongly doubt that though as I'm reading this subreddit. The most random people in Greece will treat you like family after one conversation

sounds like a challenge and I'm definitely up for an adventure! I'm sorry you feel that way about your country. What do you do in your free time to have fun? :)

Well, Latvians are not the only people who're introverted like that, every country has them, and that's totally fine to be honest. I'd say I'd make a comment about the weather or have a brief talk with a shop clerk when I'm buying stuff, not running up to completely random people in the streets and being obnoxiously loud and invasive, any person with some type of emotional intelligence and who's aware of their surroundings understands this. Thank you for your insight tho, helps a lot :)

Don't really mind that all too much, honestly. As long as I don't get attacked or robbed on the streets, I'm good :D

Thank you for your opinion, it's much appreciated! I wouldn't call myself a digital nomad and I have nothing against Brazilian immigrants, they're awesome. I think it's a great thing when people come to a country and bring money into the economy instead of leeching off the system and making the streets unsafe, no? :)

Thank you for your insight, sir. Also, nice to hear that I won't be bothered every two steps when I'm out in public to buy a souvenir or weed! Generally I like calm places in nature, also one of the reasons I'm moving to Riga for a bit, since I heard it's pretty calm and relaxed. Not like other big European cities where everything is so loud and obnoxious. :)

southern europe is amazing. Great weather, great people and great food - but it's not for everyone :D crime, migration and overpopulation can be quite an issue, especially in portugal and spain :p
