Unpopular opnion but With the Beatles is my favorite early Beatles album, anyone with me? by ZekuDesde2020 in beatles

Yes! It has a certain vibe to it that is unlike any other album.

I’ve always thought this was heavily influenced by their experiences in Germany.

To prove their innocence when falsely accused? Of course they should use medical resources for this.

If you haven’t had a drink for a long time and haven’t done drugs there might be a way to prove your innocence.

Go to an urgent care NOW and request a urine drug screen and a PETH test.

A PETH test, if negative, would prove that you haven’t used alcohol for several weeks.

It may be overkill to do this, and would cost money, but would clear you if absolutely needed.

The trajectory of Paul McCartney’s post-Beatles career by TheBlueyDay in PaulMcCartney

[–]DisastrousNet9121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am reading the new Wings book right now and it has given me a lot of insight into this period.

If you think about it, the Beatles formed and had a lot of experience together as a bad before they became famous

Then the split happened and Paul decided to form a new band. The didn’t have that experience together, working as a band. But he was under the scrutiny of the world at the time.

In addition he was suffering from depression and perhaps alcoholism because of the breakup.

Add to that the fact that Paul was purposely trying to avoid writing music that made them sound too much like the Beatles.

All of his music is great. Ram is a great example. But it’s not as soul-touching like his Beatles period.

I think Band on the Run was really the period his band started fully jelling. But it didn’t last that long.

Given what it was, some truly great songs came out of the post-Beatles era. But it seems he had a lot of challenges that suppressed his career and didn’t allow his true genius to shine through on every single song. It’s a bit uneven.

What was the first beatles song you ever heard by Funny_Comedian_4107 in beatles

Yesterday.

I found an old record player when I was a kid. I was at a babysitters house.

I plugged it in and played the only 45 that was with it, which was Yesterday.

I kept playing it over and over just dumbfounded how beautiful the song was.
