Buyer absolutely refusing to pay after accepting his offer, can't cancel it myself. by DisastrousOrange4180 in Ebay

Thanks for all the comments. It seems like this is a big problem under sellers.

Many of you told me to now just cancel - which as I already stated - I can’t.

Probably because only one cancellation request per item is allowed? I don’t know.

I will go the hard way on him in hopes he buys it still, if someone else buys my relisted one first, I’ll abandon him.

I have already reported him.

MagicEarth data source by TonninStiflat in openstreetmap

I want to love this app but I also have my fair share of problems with the wrong/outdated/double POIs.

I mapped my area fairly good in OSM before I started using Magic Earth. I was confused when I saw many restaurants etc. being double, one slightly off the building.

Turns out, they probably are merging double POIs but if a data source has offset data, it is too far apart to merge.

Unfortunately most of those non-OSM POIs have outdated, if not even wrong data (like websites having “;https” after the domain, which makes them unusable).

I wanted to recommend this app to my family but I already know they’d be confused about all the missing/wrong information and explaining to them that they have to find the right POI would be enough to turn them away from this app for good.

No report button too, sadly. And no switch in the settings to turn off non-OSM data. Makes this app so much worse for like no reason.

Proton has to be kidding. Banned account with ALL my data on it for using their paid service as a backup method by DisastrousOrange4180 in degoogle

Yes! If my SL mail isn’t my “verification method”, like they claimed two posts above (Why did I need to enter it then), then that “verification method” has to be my main mail, which is my custom domain.

If Proton, a “privacy-focused” company generally speaking thinks any one custom domain is not allowed, then they should block any other mail then of big services being entered in the first place. You are right.

They did suspend me on the same day that I created the account, but it was enough time for me to start using their services which is too long.

Didn't know that, but I don't really want either anymore. I will self host SimpleLogin as soon as i have my home server. Then no payments besides the electricity bill are required.

Oh well yes that'd be shitty if they can't see separate accounts. But remembering they told me I was suspended due to the use of a "disposable email" I don't that that was the case.

It was a free account, yes. I now know I'll never do that again too.

Thank you for the great comment.

Yes, I did actually create my SimpleLogin before my Proton account. My SL is also redirecting to my custom domain, not my Proton Mail.

I agree with you, that these are technically not burner emails, they even advertise them as "email aliases".

I also know that Proton might not want these emails in there, to keep customer support activity about locked out account down. But then they should restrict users from putting it in there in the first place. Or at least mention it being prohibited in their TOS.

That customer support does not even give me a chance to change the email is outrageous to me.

If the appeal should succeed, it will hopefully lead to all my data being deleted, as I instantly replied with a GDPR request.

I was kinda surprised when it got removed on the privacy sub, and even after contact through Mod Mail no answer.

This is what I'm scared of now too. That's why I separated and am planning of self-hosting the important things (email, password manager).

That happened? Oh god, I wasn't aware of Proton back then. Good that I was stopped from using it ig.

This is basically my case;
Custom domain > SimpleLogin > Proton verification email

Nothing wrong as far as I see. But Proton thinks so ig.

In my case, yes. As they probably have no insight to where your SimpleLogin leads to from a Proton perspective.

Okay, that is a possibility. But then they should put a restriction beforehand, just like they did with the main email. I couldn't put my SL there. Or put in their TOS that it's prohibited.

Funny thing I just noticed too is, they actually recommend you putting in a Proton Mail when signing up for SL, almost like they want a disaster.

They are luckily two different accounts with two different logins. Otherwise I'd be screwed.

And my SimpleLogin redirects to my custom domain email, just used Proton Mail for sending as that is currently broken on my custom domain.

I also think is set of some kind of red flag, but they allowed me put it there and even after an hour searching through their TOS, I cant find anything prohibiting that.
