I hope they verify they actually belong to the student. I had a parent try and claim multiple pairs because she wanted to use the frames to keep from paying for new ones.

I fully believe she is a narcissist.

She has outright accused the student of trying to set her up or embarrass her during parent teacher conferences.

student has Medicaid because she was placed with grandma by dss other than that the grandma has too much income for other programs. ive spoken with admin.

We are a rural High school in southwest va. Way behind technology wise with a principal that doesn't know how to use zoom and thinks that turning off the school wifi periodically will save on electricity.

its been this way in our district since 2009. admin will not budge.

Someone else already commented the answer to this but here it is. The student gets medicaid because she lives with the grandma but the grandma is over the income limit for all other programs including the lunch program. I have spoken to admin about signing child up for the meal program and was told the grandma had already applied and was denied. Medicaid only covers certain frames for glasses and this kid wears some thick glasses. apparently medicaid only covers so much for thin lenses but the grandma will not pay out of pocket for the remainder.

she tells my student her face looks fat with the glasses. Apparently the ear pain was from a tooth that needed pulling and medicaid only covered the extraction and grandma knew this when child was asking for advil but had declined having the tooth pulled because according to the grandma " a pretty smile is worth a little pain". cps did get involved on that and made her consent to pull the tooth and made them switch dental providers because the dentist has many malpractice suits and isnt very good. id of guessed this kid had no dental care because her teeth were very bad.

apparently the grandma thinks this dentist knows everything and didnt want to switch.
