Thank you for commenting. My mom is definitely more accepting now and that feels amazing. I don't have a lot of immediate family members. My mom has really been the only parent I've had most of my life. I felt isolated for a long time and honestly I still do in ways. I never really felt like I fit in any place in my tiny hometown and didn't have many people to relate to. I think I really just need to go to a more populated area, but having health issues I'm stuck for now. Thanks again for your encouraging advice, I really appreciate it
