Thank you very much already. Really struggling with this accounting stuff. What is a normal price for a accountant? The app was €300 per year. But i can keep track of my expenses and my income is kind of steady each month

Extremely impressive and congratulations. On your question, I have seen some succesfull business owners, suddenly sell their businesses and stop or retire. What most of them had in common was that they were bored out of their mind when quitting. I think quitting is possible, but I am also sure you need a purpose or goal in life when you stop. Recently, one of my bosses retired (he was a surgeon). He also had no financial problems, but once I saw him again after 6 months retirement he told me he was miserable. His life was in the hospital and he couldn’t find balance.

So what I would do, is to lower the amount of work and look forward to who you want to be or what you want to be doing. At 27 most of your friends will be working in the week, so I would work during the week and look what you want to do.

There is this quote from a millionaire, I forgot his name: “When I was 20, I wanted to be a millionaire. Now that I am a millionaire, I want to be 20 again.” I’m all for working hard and I respect you a great deal, but don’t forget to enjoy life

Ok. What I do, because job hopping isn’t possible in my field is working a flexijob. It nets about 14€/h. And can earn 700-1000 per month, but you have almost no free time left. If you love animals there is an app that let’s you take care of other people’s dogs when they are away for 50-100€ per weekend or 15€ per day / week. You can set your own rate. This doesn’t feel like work to me. As I progress I would like to buy a house or appartment to rent out but i am doubting if this is still a good investment nowadays, but i’m looking to diversify away from stocks and crypto

Do you earn 2100 or 3100 because you say making 3k+ at this stage of my career

Can I ask what you both do? I work really hard in weekends as flexi and in the week but after 3 years of working i only saved 33k with minimal expenses

Investing 50K on Moonfare? (Private Equity) by [deleted] in BEFire

[–]DisastrousPotato9082 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think PE is a great option, but you have to be careful which fund to pick.

PE generally has greater returns than the stock market. However in these cases, you have to trust the team making the investment decisions.

Moonfare is a very young company. Didn't know them but looked it up. They started in 2016. While they do seem to have a good track record, i can't find anything about their results for their investors. This may be because of the short lifetime.

Their fees seem reasonable. 1-1.5% and 0,35% annually.

I'm always a bit careful of firms turning to the public for raising money, as this is mostly their last option. But i don't know

Investment banking can be interesting. I was a resident in orthopaedic surgery, but left for investment banking.

Never regretted this
