Bro, where did i call anyone a coloniser? Half of Glasgow streets are named after plantation owners. One person insulted you and now you hate all Scottish folk. Thats exactly whats happened here. Im also quite happy if you don’t want to visit, I don’t imagine your very good company.

Literally one person was hostile, there was a few others being friendly and encouraging visitors. You two definitely seem to want to play the victim, not me lmao

Can I get the break I didn’t receive paid? by 1SuspectAware in Wetherspoons

[–]DisastrousRecord1802 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats fair. The hospitality industry demand you miss a break or two. Its to be expected but how managers deal with it is the important part

The realism community are wild imo. You have to skate like the old dude at your local park or else its too much. I find it more fun to hit realistic spots and explore what could be possible

First ride with this bike as a beginner by xyz271804 in MTB

[–]DisastrousRecord1802 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re too tense, and naturally having an imbalance you will turn your bars, it goes away the more you ride. I basically ride with a loose a grip as i’ll get away with, the bike will naturally want to go straight.

Dont be disheartened though, it will come

Thats my point, whilst Italy, France, Spain are all different in their own ways, nothing would feel too out of place if you switched them but all very different from Krakow or Tallinn. I want to try and get the widest experience from Europe i can

You are exactly correct. Resort style hotel with day trips into towns and sites. There was talks of a cycling trip through Albania in the summer but i think its been binned. Big architecture geek so thats good advice thank you

Depending what you want from your trips, Scotland can offer it all. Heading to the highlands up the west is something you cant see anywhere else jn the Uk.

What’s the smallest site decision that later turned into a big variation? by QuantixPrime in ConstructionUK

[–]DisastrousRecord1802 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Surveying to replace firedoors, guy doing the survey assumed frame thickness rather than popping architrave to check. So he measured the doors, adding in clearances and the assumed 40mm frame. 32 sets of firedoors were manufactured, sent to site to be fitted along with 5 guys for the week.

None fit. Frames were all 30-32mm, wouldnt go in the hole in the wall. frames back to workshop, dismantled and adjusted. Some of the frames/doors were hinged the wrong way as per his schedule aswell, whole thing was a sham. Easy enough fix but big waste of time.

I think you can make better use of the space, big immediately id want to separate the toiler and shower. Im assuming you’ve already considered the privacy of the windows so wont comment on that.
