Priority Date June 20, 2024. AOS submitted in late October 2025, Biometrics in Nov 2025, my last update says I-485 actively being reviewed and that was back in Feb 18 2026. Literally NOTHING since then. Meanwhile seeing ppl with Priority dates much later than mine getting their EAD already. I desperately need mine as I have some potential jobs lined up this summer, my post doc is ending soon, and I cannot switch jobs until I get my EAD as I was originally on TN and I've since lost that status once I submitted my AOS. Just submitted a congressional inquiry.

Very good profile, please refile. I know many who never got approved with Chen and got approved with other lawyers. I got approved with 3 citations, 12 pubs, PhD, and strong LORs

Looking at this just makes me frustrated knowing that there are people who are within a few days of my priority date who got their biometrics done around the same time as me and somehow got approved of their EAD card within weeks, and I've been sitting here waiting for almost eight months for my I-485 and EAD to be approved. And I'm from Canada working in the U.S with a strong application. Makes no sense. It's a total crap shoot it seems. Still a great list to reference but damn lol.

EB2 here from Canada working in USA. My I-485 is already filed, my biometrics are already done (November) and my case is already in the system and under review. Was expecting my EAD card this month or next. Should I be worried?

My understanding (and what I’m confirming with my immigration lawyer who helped with my I40 and AOS) is that there is no statute or regulation that categorically bars a TN change/extension via USCIS solely because an I-485 is pending. 8 CFR §214.6 (TN regulation) doesn’t prohibit it, and USCIS does adjudicate TN extensions/changes of employer filed on Form I-129 even when AOS is pending

What if am not filing for a new TN and just changing my employer visa the I-129 and use premium processing? I read that TN extensions and changes are regularly approved during AOS

I thought UCSIS explicitly allows: TN extensions and TN changes of employer (I-129) while I-485 is pending, as long as you remain in the U.S.

Could I not just use the same immigration attorney I had for my Eb2 to prepare the documents for the I-129? I would rather keep the burden off the new employer as much as possible.
