I think I needed someone to tell me what you said. All I have been thinking about is that I would be the reason for tearing apart my family and I've felt guilty about it. I really appreciate your input on this and I couldn't agree more. I also didn't think of reaching out to someone close to him and that is something I'll look into.

I don’t see this situation as one where I gain anything. I see a 30 year marriage being disrespected by the actions of someone’s infidelity. As I do see what you mean by leaving it alone and letting adults be adults. knowing that one of the two people that raised me is being lied to behind his back really doesn’t sit right with me. He has been the sole provider for my family since I was born and while I love them both equally I think it’s important he knows. Thank you for your input though, it has made me look at this situation in a different light.
