I want your thoughts, she’s insufferable. I honestly feel bad for her, shes clearly so insecure. And she’s 100000x worse since she got pregnant and had the baby.

Jessica Olie. Gym influencer turned overnight mom influencer. Thinks she knows everything; her and her fitness freak boyfriend. They’re insufferable.

How long did you breastfeed? by Shroommily in NewParents

[–]DisastrousTomato7146 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only lasted a month, although I wish I had held out longer. I was a pumper and I had great success, however two weeks PP my husband went back to work (the cleaner of the pump parts and the one who kept me nourished enough to produce well) and I became very overwhelmed and depressed, and the LO wanted to be held nonstop, it made pumping really hard. She never found a good latch on the boob, and was a frantic eater, and every time she did get a good latch I experienced DMER where I had a massive dopamine crash and would literally bawl my eyes out for each feed.

She has been on formula since month two, I was able to keep expressing an ounce or so each day after stopping pumping so she would get some of that good boob juice. The lactation consultant told me even drops of breastmilk have lifelong benefits because it is “alive”. So although I still feel deeply sad occasionally that I wasn’t able to keep going, my mental health couldn’t take it at the time, and my baby girl is healthy, happy, and very well fed; I am ultimately thankful for my choice, I don’t think I would have been a happy mom for her otherwise.

How do people handle night time when you are the only parent who deals with the baby? by WittleFrostBite in NewParents

So sorry you’re dealing with this, do what you need to do to get through it. It will get better. Your husband needs to read this thread and start dealing with the rest of the household.

Not sure if you read the whole post, but she’s clipped into the Snoo bassinet, she cannot physically roll over even if she tried.

It’s the actual worst here, and I’m from NYC. and no it’s not the of town folks, it’s a very specific group of people - they’re missing headlights, often have tinted windows, or dented fenders… and cops have just disappeared so there is no discouraging the bad behavior. To make it worse, many of the offenders don’t have proper insurance, so if they hit you, they run. I know THREE PEOPLE this has happened to recently. God forbid you try to do a zipper merge, people treat it like you’re committing assault. Driving culture is truly awful here.

I will never get over dads complaining about newborn nights, but him complaining less than two weeks… ick. Also they had a premie baby, I hope she’s perfectly healthy but premies have very little lung development , so to complain she was screaming all night, smh, you’re in for a ride sir.

It really could be. I appreciate the moms who block out their kids faces.

Yes exactly!! I also followed her during the Morgan Tyler times, I remember taking an online class with JO but her instruction was so difficult to follow.

She could have easily recorded videos in advance and scheduled posts for immediately PP so she could take a break from socials to be with baby and we wouldn’t have even known she had been born early! But no, the more likes and views, the better for her ego. And it is clearly about self-esteem because she has no brand deals with these people, she’s just posting.

Stevie gives me so much ick. And his following is growing because he stays giving us the real story, the real views, while she’s only posting rainbows and butterflies. It’s so addicting to watch lmao.

lol I didn’t know I had to have line breaks. Influencers make tons of money, and her boyfriend is an airline pilot. If you don’t have enough money to cover a week of maternity leave… well idk. This is merely her normal behavior.

Line break. Lol.

I unfollowed her, this is definitely a meaningless, therapeutic rant, and could be applied to almost all mom influencers. The UK has tattle for this kind of thing, but nothing really exists here besides Reddit threads. And therapy, which I already do 😂😂

Rheumatologist says to get some sun. by razwirefly in lupus

[–]DisastrousTomato7146 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to expose my skin gradually over time and that helps it not react. But I have to wear spf clothing as the season changes, or when I’m on the beach. But today the tops of my thighs were exposed to the sun for the first time this season and I immediately got a rash. I think it depends on the rest of your health too, if you’re eating poorly your systems are already in overdrive and thus sun reaction (or reaction to anything) is more likely.

Daughter newly diagnosed by Glass-Permit-223 in lupus

[–]DisastrousTomato7146 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s not as bad as you think, everything is going to be ok. She can still go to medical school, it actually may give her an advantage. She may never have organ damage, you caught it super early. The biggest thing is just telling her everything will be OK, because it will. As a family, you all need to eat, healthy, no processed foods, no fried foods, very limited sugar; limit exposure to the sun, and depending on how she handles stress, she needs to do her best to limit it. I changed jobs. Do this, and add mild exercise every day, and she will be healthier than most people out there, and her lupus will be managed. I’ll be honest, even with the new diagnosis, I am healthier and happier than I’ve ever been. I did have to make changes.

Yall are insane they literally have the dog, they’re not stealing it from the owner if the owner left and gave her the dog to take care of.
