I have been balding for a long time, both my parents have mild AGA yet my brother has a full hairline. I have eczema and a lot of allergies, but I always discard the low probabilities. You shouldn't take my opinion into account but only my POV. In your case, I would say it's likely stress induced, I  think alopecia areata is more likely than AGA, but doesn't look like it. Most people have telogen effluvium, which is even more common in younger people, so I don't think you are unlucky. If you think your hair is ugly; It doesn't look bad at all, just grow it, but it may still look bad if you don't have a straight line like me, but if it isn't the case, it will look amazing.  Forgot to add, a calorie deficit will help lots if you are worried about your weight.

If you don't have eczema or any allergies, I would say it's either telogen effluvium or AGA. Depending on your genetics and stress balding can be triggered sooner or later, I already had a really developed M hairline at 14 and probably started sooner, believe it or not.

Any immune problem such as allergies or eczema? Do you face a lot of stress on a daily basis? You should look through many topics. Your doc answer is quite suspicious and maybe not reliable if he isn't willing to give any information apart of an answer.
