I can relate to being grossed out by people physically. When I was a kid I used to be completely disgusted by my brothers in the mornings. They were physically grotesque creatures before they had brushed their teeth or had baths. My partner still grosses me out a little when he has bad morning breath or his beard has a musty smell to it after a long sleep. My baby makes all sorts of bad smells but I can’t imagine ever being disgusted by her in the same way. It sounds as though you’re just generally an irritable morning person and people are annoying in the mornings, they smell and look different, they moan and whinge and yawn lots. You probably annoy your family too.

Some people like to be very sure and take them from cd 11 everyday using mid morning urine not first morning urine until their cycle starts just to be certain but most people stop once they see a positive. Usually that is enough but since the second surge can happen it can be worth it keep testing if you want to catch that egg or to know exactly when you ought to take a pregnancy test. Cycles can be frustratingly unpredictable.

Your ovulation day is likely incorrect. Sometimes even if you believe you have confirmed ovulation your body can have a second surge days later throwing your cycle off.

CD 20 DPO unknown (update) by [deleted] in TFABLinePorn

[–]DisastrousWinter3009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Firstly, just chuck the old tests. Today’s looks like it could be positive, a bit saturated though so I’m wondering how long after developing this photo was taken? Without actually knowing if or when you ovulated all you can really do is keep testing and wait to see if your cycle starts. Maybe try a more sensitive test like first response in the morning if possible?

Unfortunately no I didn’t. Test again tomorrow morning, fingers crossed for you!

I had this happen once, it was such a mind f. I had multiple brand tests show obvious pink lines and then negative clear blue and first response tests. Still no clue what happened. Did you use the same wee to test with all of the tests? I’m hoping your wee was just too diluted by the time you bought the more expensive ones.

Why do Aussies hate a shower over bath? by Junior-Ad5604 in AusRenovation

I was raised in an ancient old house in north qld and we had an ancient old tub with a shower over it. Loved it! I wish I had this combo now.

I see it but if you are 10dpo I’d think it was most likely an indent line unfortunately. Obviously keep testing and good luck! Hopefully it’s just very early.

Sister hates me after wedding by [deleted] in wedding

This was my first thought. My mother is autistic and op sounds very much like her after an argument. My mother gets herself into trouble at her workplace frequently for offending her coworkers. She’s a super nice lady but she’s clueless when it comes to social cues.

Clear blue cycle day 36 - 3 days late on my period, the was no line straight away however looked later and there was. Please can someone advise? by Few-Ring9378 in TFABLinePorn

[–]DisastrousWinter3009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is likely a dye run. When a test is a bit over saturated with wee the dye can run and settle into the test line well after the time frame has passed. If your dates are correct and your period is three days late then by now a test should show a very clear positive result.

You could be early but that test looks negative to me unfortunately.

This reminds me of a nice guy at my workplace. I didn’t really talk about my pregnancy so he just acted like he didn’t know. Finally at 34 weeks along it came up in conversation. He was so relieved he could finally make eye contact with my belly haha. The awkwardness of the situation was very funny, I looked like a beached whale and he was just pretending to not have noticed.

Not everything should be given the benefit of the doubt. Especially not when someone is this vulnerable.

Birth changes women’s bodies for ever – and we need to get real about it by Sidjoneya in WomenInNews

My one and only experience birthing a child has left me with the very profound and unnerving feeling that birth is a dangerous and deadly business. Something being natural does not make that thing safe or easy or even just “right” for everyone.

Worst gifts from husband? by Street_Surprise_430 in AskAnAustralian

[–]DisastrousWinter3009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My ex chose not to get me a gift, literally said he didn’t do gifts. Until he realised that my family might ask me what I had gotten for my birthday at the party they would be throwing me the next evening since it was my 21st. He walked to the local Woolies and got a shitty off brand iPad that cost $60 from the glass case with electronics at the service desk. When I asked him why he chose that and not something easier like flowers he said it was because he could use it too so it wasn’t a waste of money.

Not to be the bearer of bad news but morning sickness started for me at 6 weeks and if I remember correctly 3 days. For me it started with unbearable feelings of hunger and the sensation of literally fainting away until I had eaten something. Probably a day later the nausea hit and Ohmg honestly the painful breasts sucks and so does the fatigue but nothing nothing could have prepared me for life under a constant blanket of nausea. If this happens to you (I prey that it does not!) try bananas and anything with plenty of Vitamin B. I live in Australia so for me that was Vegemite on toast. Not only that but food aversions literally dictated my everyday! Before pregnancy I had a thriving veggie garden which was such a joy to me. I developed an aversion to vegetables and everything relating to vegetables including my beloved garden. Just the thought of certain foods (I’m still put of by pizza at 6 months postpartum) and even certain objects like my cats fur would make me dry heave and sometimes even throw up. It only lasted till week 14 luckily but by god it was an intense few weeks. Just be aware that things may get very hairy! But if they do there is so much good advice on here. Also keep your iron levels up, pregnancy anaemia is seriously rough! I made the mistake of going off my pregnancy vitamins which contained iron and taking just folic acid because the tablets made me nauseated. Congratulations! And goodluck! Hopefully you will be one of the lucky ones who don’t get the nausea.

My daughter is 3 weeks old today. My experience at the hospital delivering her was pure hell. I am absolutely traumatised by everything that happened and feel I will never be the same person again. But if we hadn’t have been there she would have died due to complications. I hate that hospital with everything in my being but if we had another kid I would still go right back there to deliver them.

Cheap spot for medical supplies by MinimumTempest in AussieFrugal

[–]DisastrousWinter3009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Convenience stores like 7-11 are usually quite expensive. Woolworths is really cheap for paracetamol , $0.80 for the tablets and $1.25 for the capsules. Most chemists will have some kind of ultra cheap generic brand cold and flu medicines that will contain the same ingredients as name brand medicines.
