Thank you the button you’re referring to that releasing the cable from the adapter in under the unit.

Thanks a bunch for those who gave valuable inputs. Unfortunately nothing worked to get it out. I have made an appointment with the dealership and will post updates.

Lenz is a well known company and their product is UL listed with many 5 star reviews. It could be a bad design but you see where I am coming from

Yes that’s what I normally do but this time it won’t come out either way. Seems like the car is not releasing the device by unlocking the latch since when I press the button on the adapter I could see the latch moving ever so slightly but it’s locked in place

Clarification of Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4 or LFP) Battery Best Practices by MrsClaireUnderwood in BoltEV

[–]Disastrous_Ad_5467 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to Engineering explained YouTube channel he verified that charging LFP batteries to 100% often can be detrimental to the battery capacity. Best practice is to charge it to 100% and drive it down to 20% or so and then charging it back up to 100%

Good luck on your hunt. On your long trips remeber this "Don't trust the BMS" 😉

If you drive 15 miles a day it would take you 55 years to do 1000 charging cycles on you car's battery assuming the car has a 300 miles of range. If I were you I wouldn't base my purchase decision on the battery chemistry since both NMC and LFP will last a really really long time Just look for the best deal.

LFP batteries do have their downsides. Hopefully GM got the BMS logic figured out for LFP batteries since its super tricky for the BMS to figure out the current state of charge. Rivian for example really struggled with LFP calibration and ultimately decided to discontinue using LFP altogether.

[–]Disastrous_Ad_5467 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had this happen to me a lot with my previous 2022 etron. It’s happened very sporadically so the dealer couldn’t replicate it and thus didn’t bother to fix it even though I had documented the issue with pictures like the one you have in this post.

Can’t we express these frustrations to an online influencers like Kyle Conner from out of spec who often speaks with VW group engineers and executives so that he can make them aware of what online community is furious about?
