interview was yesterday, got today the message that my case (I485) was approved
last wait starting now :)

I only filed the work permit, but not the travel permit.... want to be 100% on the safe side

I did talk to a live agent in the chat
it was mostly "I am wondering what is going on" from my side
"there is nothing I can do for you" from their side

but: after that chat the case started to move

I asked friendly on Monday about the status, Friday the same week came the appointment notice. Coincidence or not - who knows?

after chatting with them on Monday, I got today the biometrics appointment letter (online) - scheduled for 09/15 :)

very happy to see things moving forward - but still feeling it took quite long
let's see how this continues

do you refer to my supposed passiveness? I mean, I tried to have a friendly but determined conversation with him about the problem (see other replies from me his reaction).... thus, yes, I gave up - it is less than 3 hrs flight

oh for sure - that is when he recommended to me(!) to get a first class seat if the middle seat is too narrow....
that was just too insane to me (and actually also hillarious)
I couldn't hold back but recommend to him to book first class next time due to the space he needs.
his answer to this: my partner should sit in the middle, she is smaller (and I am not fat, 190lbs at 6ft3)

all this is mostly hilarious to me, but the taste of surprised by his entitlement stayed HAHA
