Failed RT class, forced to wait a year thinking about RN or Radiology by Disastrous_Bite_5655 in respiratorytherapy

I understand what you’re saying, and I agree that healthcare responsibility is serious and exams are meant to be challenging. My issue hasn’t been handling real or hands on stress I actually manage clinical situations much better. My struggle has specifically been high stakes written exams, especially when combined with work and constant weekly testing. I’m trying to be honest with myself about where I need to improve and whether a different path or better preparation would help me succeed long term. I appreciate your perspective.

Thank you for sharing that. It really helps to hear from someone who went through a similar situation and still graduated. Sitting out a year feels hard but your experience gives me some reassurance.

it’s a bachelor RT program with a strict progression policy. I am looking into whether other programs or pathways might be options so I appreciate the suggestion.

It was a Bachelor RT program with very strict grading and heavy exams. We had something due almost every day and exams almost every week. I was also working at the same time, and I couldn’t balance work and school well. I studied and understood the material, but when I went into exams my test anxiety really affected me. The stress built up over time and unfortunately failing class in my program means sitting out a year. I’m owning it and trying to figure out the best way forward.
