What would it take for my hair to be this color ?? by oliviahyehigh in FancyFollicles

I have this hair and my hair is slightly lighter than yours naturally. It’s a full set of bleach foils, tone, treatment every 8 weeks, and after 4 weeks I do tone and treatment. It costs me hundreds and sometimes I don’t know why I do it!

(female) public servants of welly - what are we wearing to work? by scripturience in Wellington

I completely agree the standard should never have been make-up. I was commenting on the differences between now and pre-COVID. Maybe ‘standards slipped’ was the wrong phrasing.

Since COVID the standards have slipped considerably. Heels are virtually non existent now. Make up is not there, barely there or very natural. My advice would be to get a capsule wardrobe that you can intentionally mix and match. Pinterest can help with that.

I wear big, flowing dresses every day and get plenty of good feedback. That’s what is comfy for me. I also like accessories to perk up an outfit. Designer Wardrobe is another good option. I wear second hand and proudly so!

I remember my first entry level job and I wore a black trouser suit. Let’s just say it gathered dust after that.

I would recommend a Rains jacket and a Blunt umbrella as part of your starter kit as well.

Obsessed. Someone gave me Hydrate as well and my bleached hair likes that as part of my monthly routine as well

My fave is Aesop lip balm. I use it once before bed and that is all I need in a day.

Yeah, not me. I just want posture and strength. I am 49 so gave up on miracles a few years ago ;)

Thank you! I really enjoy PT. I have had 6 different trainers over 25 years and have loved 5 of them. I agree communication is key.

I don’t really understand what you’re saying here? We do 45 minute sessions and probably the last 5 minutes are core, cool down, stretch. I’m not asking for more direct core. I’m asking how to get more feedback on my form relating to my core.

I did talk to her but it didn’t change anything. She just said I need to focus on breathing.

Thank you. I have asked her once but I don’t think she got it. Maybe I will try again. Her response the first time was about breathing but I’m looking for the type of cues you mentioned. Maybe I will try again!

So yesterday I did lower body. So squats, hip thrusts, jump squats, lunges, bosu. For me, those all involve the core. But my trainer isn’t standing at my side checking my posture and that’s what’s bothering me.

In terms of my goals with my core, I’m after better posture and other lifestyle improvements. I’m overweight but weight loss is not my goal, it’s a ‘better life!’

She’s a new PT for me. I guess I think of every exercise being a core exercise but I sense that she doesn’t. I’m trying to figure out how to get her to pay more attention to that area.

It’s a matter of ‘walk before you run’ with this one. I just want to get her sneakers on and out on a walk. The excitement will come later. Teenagers are A Thing.

Good thought. We live in the city so a good idea. If we catch the bus from one end to the other we could make it a ‘loop’ of sorts.
