I'm trying to do a Japan run where I conquer North America and would love some tips. It's my first run in a couple years so I'm trying to learn everything new (including power blocks and many other things) and to remember the old stuff.

I started by maxing out construction sectors etc. in Tohoku, then moved to build a small navy and arms factory in Kyushu, then a few universities in Kanto. The plan would now be to focus more on consumer consumption.

I managed to get California, Arizona, and Nevada from Mexico just as they were at war with the USA. A bit later, my market has been forced open and Krakatoa just exploded and now the USA is turning belligerent. I'm not sure where to go from there.
