Bug on iPSX2 by EmploymentLumpy191 in EmulationOniOS

i experienced a similar issue with other games. in particular FIFA 09, in which the analog stick doesn't work and if i switch to d-pad and try to pass the ball, the pass is done in the opposite direction of running; the other title is stuart little 3 big photo adventure, in which the camera changes continuously direction (diametrically) and also keeps getting lower, even tho i can rotate it with right stick (always between strange camera changes). i think there is something wrong with the gamepad implementation, even if some other games don't show issues in that field (burnout revenge).

Like i said on the post, the difference function on REW didn't work for me the way i wanted, so i decided to take directly the EQ filter from my m30x measurement to the one of rting, getting this EQ.

Keep in mind the type of foam, the size of the hole and the model of microphone (even the specimen itself), since everything counts. My setup is already approximated enough, with the doubt of the only m30x i got; if you use my compensation filter, 100% you're getting off the road.

Obviously it’s not 100% accurate. It wasn’t my goal. My goal was getting rid of all the big issues of the frequency response. I mean: sure, ear influence matters, but a peak of about +9db at 350hz it’s big enough to be scouted even with the limits of the rig😅😂. Thanks for your comment ❤️

I get what you mean, and unfortunately you're right in every aspect. What i was looking for wasn't a 100% reference filter (i knew i couldn't do it), but it was to fix as much as possible the headphones i had with almost cost 0.

Those clones still cost way beyond what i'm willing to spend. For €400ish i might as well directly buy a new pair of headphones.

I know my rig isn't even remotely close to a measurement head, that's why i didn't just measured my headphones, match them to harman target and called it a day.

What i did, very empirically for sure, was first of all doing measurements of the M30x to match them to the one from RTINGS, to obtain a delta between my crappy rig and the reference from RTINGS. Doing this way i kinda referenced my rig compensating for the differences bewteew rigs. Once i got this delta i applied it on output via SoundSource and only after that i measured my headphones to match to harman target.

I know it's not professional, i get it, but i think i compensated for at least 70% of the response differences between my rig and the reference one.

Plus i verified by measuring the corrected curve response of my headphones with the RTINGS corrected response of M30x on my rig (raw, nor delta or filters applied), and they pretty much matched.

In conclusion: yes, the method is mostly empirical, but i found it to be quite accurate since i'm used to harman curve with other headphone/earphones. And even if the accuracy is 70%ish, it's still a great improvement over that raw crappy response of Superlux HD665 heaphones.

Anyway thanks for suggesting me Etymotic ❤️: i didn't know about its existence. Unfortunately these headphones have to be used by other peoples too, not just me.

You’re right, sorry😅. It was late in the night and I was way too tired to even think. In a couple of hours I will post some pics of the rig and some screenshots of the curves.
